The Everton Board Thread

The board have insisted that their concerns centre around player fan and employee welfare.

So much so they put zero security measures in for the players.
That’s a very good point. Why is there not safety threats towards Frank Lampard for example? Logic would say any football fan points blame at the manager, he’s on a dreadful run etc.

It’s only a “threat” to the board because they know themselves that they’ve taken the absolute piss. Quite telling that they were all absent while Thelwell was still there the other day. I know he’s not on the board but think of it this way, whatever you think of him so far at Everton, bad job or good job, he’s not done anything wrong or maliciously.

Why is he “safe” as the director of football, fans would surely think he’s partly responsible for our poor financial situation.

No.

People like Lampard and Thelwell are at our club and are suffering too, they may not be cut out for the jobs they have but they’re clearly trying their best. Kenwright and co. know exactly what they’ve done to this club and what they continue to do, they know they’re scum so they insulate themselves from any possible criticism, happy to throw subordinates in the firing line, as well as the fan who pays good money to line their pockets.

Who do you think will have to answer for this charade in the media? Won’t be Moshiri, won’t be Kenwright, won’t be DBB, it’ll be Lampard at his next press conference despite the fact that it literally has nothing whatsoever to do with him.

Very clear once it’s all laid out why there’s so such thing as safety concerns because if there were they wouldn’t be putting Lampard or Thelwell in front of apparently 40k violent, angry thugs.

Shoutout to @davek doing God's work in being a beacon of light in the eye of the storm.

Gotta say, if you'd have told me the majority of the forum would've given up any hope as they begin to accept their relegation misery and Dave would be battling with every member on why they should be more optimistic / glass half full...

I'd say 'never in a million years'.

Welcome to the millionth year ladies and gents.

How does the club gather intelligence of threats btw?

They are a bunch of no mark failures not MI5

The one thing they’ve always been absolutely brilliant at is controlling news. You can’t even get a transfer rumour out of the club these days. They’ve got that place on absolute lockdown compared to the Moyes days of when some of the journos seemed to know who we were trying to buy at the start of every window.

They’re very good at what they want to be good at: controlling media narrative, PR, but are horrendous at anything that is actually running a football club.

This dosnt make sense this statement.
Merseyside police say they have no , record of any offence.
And will be contacting the club
Then they are supposed to have advised them not to go the Southampton game.
According to the club statement
Why would the police do that if the had no knowledge of anything before that game, which they have already made a statement saying they had no knowledge of any actions.
It wasn't on police advise.

I don't live in England so I don't go to GP and can't judge the competence of the board based on anything I see. It might be incompetent but I'm surprised at accusations here that they are frauds and dishonest. Can someone give me examples?

I don't think they are directly responsible for the team's poor performances, but I do think they've wasted a lot of money by paying
well over the odds for players who have not only failed to improve the team, but have actually made it worse. Not all of them, but far too many.

Are the coaches getting the best they can out of the squad? Do they know who their best team is, and if they do can they get them
all on the ground together?

These are question I don't have the answers to. Does anyone?

Someone just shared this on my twitter timeline. What an absolute tit Ped is. Embarrassing having this div speaking about such things. He's just thick. I bet Baz would love to sack him.

"Blah blah blah...everything's hopeless...blah blah blah Kenwight needs to go...blah blah blah how's the clicks goin' la?"

I think it's the standard the club set mate. It's a bit amateur hour. I do agree with you that the team and poor choice of purchases is also to blame.
