The Everton Board Thread

What I love the most about our board isn't necessarily that they are the 2nd highest paid in the league, it's that it's comprised of 3 people, one of which is probably paid in pies. So 2 people make up the 2nd highest paid board in the league.

Shoutout to @davek doing God's work in being a beacon of light in the eye of the storm.

Gotta say, if you'd have told me the majority of the forum would've given up any hope as they begin to accept their relegation misery and Dave would be battling with every member on why they should be more optimistic / glass half full...

I'd say 'never in a million years'.

Welcome to the millionth year ladies and gents.

Daves the bloke that would have been on the Titanic shouting stay on the ship. Its just a scratch. We'll be in new york in 6 hours.

Mate he's thick as horse crap, He's just out there for clickbait to get more views and revenue for channel. He's a total fraud. Why should Sharpy have to resign? He's not the problem. He wants him to resign to make a stand. it's pathetic.
because sharp is supposed to be an Evertonian who currently sits on a board that has gaslit their own fans.

He’s an absolute prick for standing by and being as culpable as the rest

Someone just shared this on my twitter timeline. What an absolute tit Ped is. Embarrassing having this div speaking about such things. He's just thick. I bet Baz would love to sack him.

Ped was spot on mate, he saying what were all thinking, his rant is awesome and completely right. He may go off on one now and again but he sure as hell love our club more then the so called board

I wonder if its time to take the protests to the terraces during the games.
If this goes on till arsenal, maybe it's time to protest during the game to a global audience.
The fans got absolutely no credit for backing the team on Saturday.
I know it'll sting but where do you go from post match protests? (and staying away wont do it)

He wants sharply to resign in protest to this boards complete and utter balls, turning on fans, making up claims about Denise and saying they where told by the police to not come even thought that’s been proven not to be true, there liers who are running the price up while sending the team down and getting paid the 2nd highest amount in the league.

Going in to the top balc with the kids, I was searched and had an airport metal detector thing passed over me - never ever had that before any game, even derbies.

Had to hand over my knuckle dusters, nunchucks, knife and baseball bat & wrestling mask - fuming.

Seriously, this disgrace of a board of directors and the owner should be ashamed of what they have done to the fans and the club.

The inconsistencies and lies are treasonous, but the lack of media investigations and response is equally as sickening, and I am surprised the premier league have not got involved either, even for brand damage limitation and the like.

Must be because they want us gone out the league or something worse, as I can’t imagine this lack of response for any other club in the divison, from the media or premier league - imagine the uproar if this despicable shitshow was going on at Liverpool, Man Utd or City?!

If they have a shred of decency, honour or love for EFC they will all resign with immediate effect.

Sharp, along with the rest of the Board, should be resigning simply because of our shambolic performance levels on the pitch and catastrophic governance off it.

The fact that resigning would also demonstrate that he is siding with the fanbase over a lunatic owner and charlatan Chairman, both of whom are on borrowed time, should make his decision even easier in theory.

Not to say I don't appreciate his positivity, and he's probably right this time, but wherever the majority are, @davek is on the opposite side! It's par for the course lol

Like anything in life business or sport your only as good as your people. So I thought why not compare the CV of our CEO Denise and that of another Premier League ever present club? So I picked Farhad Moshiri and Alisher Usmanov’s first club Arsenal.

CEO of Arsenal - Vinai Venkatesham - CV
Roles held at Arsenal:
CEO
Managing Director
Chief commercial officer
Sales and marketing director
Director of global partnerships and business strategy
Head of global partnerships

Roles outside and before Arsenal:
European club association - board member
British Olympic association - Non executive director.
Arsenal foundation - trustee
Arsenal broadband limited - director
Dugout - non executive director
London 2017 - non executive director
London 2012 - commercial manager
Deloitte - strategy consultant
Mitsui - oil trader
L.E.K Consulting - associate

CEO of Everton Denise Barrett-Baxendale
Roles held at Everton
CEO
Deputy CEO
Chief operating officer
Everton in the community - executive chairman.

Roles held outside of and before Everton:
Sport England - board member 2016
Before 2010 16 years working in education - academic & leadership.

No doubt Denise is a talented person but the gulf in business experience is frightening. We can’t just expect to carry on like we have with ad hoc characters running the club promoted from within we need serious business minded people surely?

Just listened to Leon Osman say 'There was talk before the game of protests outside the ground but that didn't really materialise'
There was talk of greeting the team outside and protesting inside afterwards. Reckon he knows that too, but just downplaying it, focussed on the result as the source of frustration and nowt 'bout the board
