The Everton Board Thread

this has been bugging me more and more.
I'm sure, given his connections, he could have watched from a directors box, or somewhere out of sight.
He's made a conscious decision here to be visible in the crowd at Anfield.
I mean, what's to be gained by that, even if we won 4-0.
Just don't get it.
It's the pantomime of it all.

It was a performance.

It's all simply about him, it always has been, he wants to look sad at the end of the expected loss and for fans/ media to equate to that he can't go to Goodison, because of us, pathetic really. But sadly the media and some fans will lapp it up.
He, Sharp, DBB and Ingles don’t give a flying frig about Everton or us supporters, especially by going there.

The kopites are absolutely loving it, and as someone said they are desperate for them to stay at Everton as long as possible, which tells you all you need to know.

Kenwright and the rest of the board are just prolonging the inevitable - there is no coming back from all of this, there wasn’t when headlock-gate started - moshiri needs to act and hopefully get the part sale done so that the new investors can drag these barstewards out of the boardroom.

Moshiri can as majority shareholder remove the board. But the articles of association require three board members (as do Premier League rules) so an interim Chairman would be needed

By removing the obligation for an EFC AGM Which I believe Moshiri was tricked into by Bill Kenwright and Denise Barrett-Baxendale, this stops the members of the company (minor shareholders, likes of EFCSA etc) from being able to introduce a motion for their removal

In order to call an EFC EGM you need 5% of the votes.
Minors: independent and EFCSA make up 4.6%, Kenwright 1.3% and Moshiri's ca. 94.1%

Means without Moshiri that route is blocked.

Legally the only way to get Kenwright out, in my analysis is his unauthorised absence for 6 months from board meetings or Moshiri to remove him

Hence much focus and back channel communications are ongoing to Moshiri.

Moshiri is aware of the need and what he says publicly isn't necessarily what he thinks privately. It's a very political situation

Everyone knows what Bill Kenwright is like too. Moshiri is having to deal with that carefully.

My view is Bill Kenwright is completely irrational. His judgement is very suspect.
One possible answer to this problem is for Dave Kelly - Chair of the EFCSA - to petition Farhad Moshiri to join the Shareholders Association.

It absolutely beggars belief that neither Kenwright and now Moshiri have ever been members, or even invited to become members of the SA.

Furthermore and to my mind, buying/owning a share in Everton should entail automatic membership of the SA - in that way there could be no removal of AGM/EGMs

Enables him to push the narrative that our fans are really unsafe that he is even able to go to the pit and be accepted and not be put at risk but that the risks at home games are too serious.

It builds a narrative that favours him and does not favour the fans. What he can't see, however, is that it'll continue to have a detrimental impact on the club.

Kenwright and his cronies should have never been there yesterday, unless they're willing to turn up on Saturday. But even then, it should have been at GP first.
But all turning up at Anfield does is weaken the narrative.
And failing to turn up at Goodison game after game based on hearsay doesn't help it either.
That southampton game was one huge miscalculation on their part.

If Bill Kenwright or Denise Barrett-Barrett-Baxendale reads this or someone collecting comments for them

Please inform Bill Kenwright he is a complete disgrace

He has no future at Everton Football Club

I cannot put into words how much I despise him. A quarter of a century we have had to endure his nonsense
You can rest assured that despite assertions to the contrary, the 'club' do indeed monitor many of the forums and listen to many of the bigger podcasts in order to gauge the mood of the fan base.

While I agree, I have a feeling that Kenwright's stubbornness or downright misreading of the situation may mean they will double down on the 'unsafe' narrative.

They've been to two away fixtures where it's apparently been safe enough, although Moshiri did require two ex-forces bodyguards and Bill was escorted yesterday.

On the flip side, they've been forced to miss two home fixtures due to the risk from their own fans. Has that risk diminished? Has the situation changed?

Unless they said to the contrary, e.g. openly state the risk is no longer present, they have to keep away.
