The Everton Board Thread

I know, I just have a horror of mission statements in general. Bad enough they exist in the corporate world, even my kids schools have them.
I suppose it’s just a way of them advertising what they intend to bring to the table.
At least it’s some form of communication.

No ones saying that my friend - you're being told if we go down we're not finished but you refuse to listen to sense Matty.

By your token Leicester, Newcastle, Villa, Fulham, Wolves even Leeds would all be in League Two / gone into liquidation yet all of em are in better positions than we are lol
Leeds very nearly were and dropped to League One, it took them 16 years to get back to the top flight

That was back when there was no relegation parachute money and Leeds were in far worse financial issues than us and didnt have a billionaire owner.

The fact they're in the Prem suggests we'll not be getting liquidated anytime soon.

No one knows whats gonna happen mate so why bite into a cyanide capsule until its actually happened is my point.

Come the end of the season the stadium build is approx. 12 months from completion - its pretty much funded at this stage particularly if this 25% investment goes through which is the remainder of the funds needed.

We lose £80 millions in revenue if we go down in terms of year 1 parachute payments - we just got £40 millions from the Gordon sale and could easily fetch £90-100 millions combined for Pickford, Onana & Dominic Calvert-Lewin.

Ellis Simms was banging gols in the Championship - its a tough league but its also a bang average one - players like Demari Gray, Tarkowski, Patterson, Garner, Holgate, McNeil would be solid down there, Maupay scored a lot one season down there aswell. We also have Dyche who knows the league and got Burnley promoted twice.

The rules regarding FFP would also likely only effect us the season after we dropped i.e we would have 1 season to get promoted before anything took place.

You also have a lot of earners off the books this summer in Mina, Townie, Davies, Gomes will probably go as will the likes of Iwobi.

It may be rocky but thats not to say we don't come out the other end in a better position than what we currently are.

I just dont get talk of us being liquidated/falling into the abyss / national blue square its pure scaremongering perpetuated by the usual doomsdayers !
As you stated we don’t know what the financial situation would be if we went down this season. Think we could guarantee it would have been worse if we went down last season. The sales of Richie and Gordon have helped massively. The sale of kean for 28 mil this summer will also help. Then you have the unknowns. As we can’t say how much we would get for say Pickford, onana and dcl. Think anything we get for dcl is profit anyway as we paid 1.5 mil for him. Big earners off the book. Just hope we stay up anyway so it doesn’t matter.

Big difference is the rules have changed, the EFL are far stricter with finances than the PL are making Relegation not an option for us

And this is another reason the current Board and owner have to be dismissed, if the club is relegated it we be squarely their fault and they cannot be allowed to inflict further damage over and above that which they have already done.

Not sure about that….yes there is the Grand Prix, but they do not appear to me to be the type of guys to mix in social circles. They are U.S based and I think the Spuds owner is based in the Bahamas I think so not far fetched to think they have had preliminary meetings over there, unless you definitely know different then I defer to your knowledge.
MSP are part owners on McLaren.

If you think the abuse and stuff she has had is acceptable, then i would love to see how you react of ppl did or said the same a female family member of yours.

So for now trying to root out bullies and stop abuse against female fans and fans in general….im the bad guy.

Its nothing to do with the club this, its about human decency, and respect.
If you go on Twitter and spout off about how much the fans are damaging the club, you can expect those same fans to reply with their opinions on who is actually damaging the club.
If she can't handle the backlash of her inflammatory statements, she should stick to riding the coat tails of her grandfather and living off his legacy.

Obviously , while the board can be dismissed , the owner cannot.
