It’s simple really we will have to follow the path that may other PL teams have done which is sell the majority of the first team - we will need to do this to balance the books and they will want to go because their salaries would be reduced due to the relegation clauses in their contracts (if we are doing what we should). We will probably have to sell below market value as well. Any movies we can reinvest will be for up and coming players I would think so KT and SD really need to be coming up with two transfer strategies 1) remaining and 2) relegation. I remember when Leeds first down, you literally didn’t know who the players were after being used to the likes of Viduka, Kewell etc.

By your token Leicester, Newcastle, Villa, Fulham, Wolves even Leeds would all be in League Two / gone into liquidation yet all of em are in better positions than we are lol

I would think so if the general reports around these sorts of things are to be believed but the BoD are so arrogant they may not have had the foresight to do this….but even if they didn’t we would not be able to keep paying the salaries at those levels

The other thing is, if we do coke back, great, but that only means that we will be favourites to go back down for at least another 3/4 seasons. If we go down this time we are another Norwich, one maybe 2 seasons in the big time then straight back down, which will make us even more of a laughing stock.
