Tbf you're not wrong. Villa made me laugh, loads of their fans detested their old owner Doug Ellis because of the perceived lack of spending. Yet they were stable and won cups / challenged under his stewardship. They got all excited when Lerner came along and turned on the money taps, then hated him when he trued to cut his losses and they got relegated.
Sounds a bit like Everton actually. Except Farhad ain't American. Oh yeah, owners can be crap no matter wherever they're from.

People turn on the Yanks quicker. I mean the RS were one of the best sides in the world 18 months ago. That they're mad at FSG is honestly wild to me. You can't compete with City on spending but you aren't poor or underfunded!
I never said they were stupid and having a say in the running of the club could mean seats on an expanded board
They would need to put a high percentage in to demand the removal of the current board imo
It depends on Moshiri. He may want to stay loyal to current board or he may use investors as an excuse to remove them, or as you say it may be requested in lieu of investment. It isn't definite what way this goes at all

The F1 incidental meeting
MSP are interested in Everton FC for a reason. There is a severely underperforming asset there (due to incompetence of Bill Kenwright and Denise Barrett Baxendale), that could with professional board members be turned around with the right expertise.
MSP are really the main show in town and will certain help get Everton focused. On Performance
They will also restrain the urges of Moshiri getting involved in player transfers and the like plus individuals like super agents having undue influence. Things that incompetent and self serving Kenwright should have done.
MSP are professional investors. They are here to see Everton back performing again on and off the pitch. That is their investment. Which will raise share prices.
There is no way on this earth any professional investors will allow Bill Kenwright to remain on the board. No way.
