The Everton Board Thread

Can someone with better understanding around investment and business answer me this. I’ve been thinking why would MSP invest 105 million to get 25% when if we go down, they could probably get the same 25% share for half the price.
They may be very optimistic that we'll stay in the richest league in the world, or perhaps Moshiri has told them if you want to invest it's a now or never situation.

Or perhaps Blue Billy has used all this academy award-winning thespian skills to convince them Musk and Zuckerberg and Gates are all on the verge of investing so they better act fast or miss the boat on the deal of a lifetime. (Cannot confirm reports he also offered a signed self photo and Lee Carsley keyring as part of the deal).

Kevin Cambell, not only single handily saved the club from relegation with his goals, he also single handily helped remove the " Everton are a racist club " reputation.

He moved the club forward years in terms of the racist tag and made it acceptable for non white players to sign for us.

Our first black captain too.

100% he should be in there,
Absolutely helped but so too did Amokachi

Lee carsley key ring is hard offer not to accept to be fair

We had black players before Campbell? Amokachi, Bakayoko, Barrett, Cadamarteri.
Correct, but Souper was the first one that forged a permanent bond with fans because his goals effectively kept us up. You can see he retains an affection for the club to this day. And of course he scored that winner at the Pit.

If only we'd gotten someone to come in and do a similar job this season....it's just unforgivable that we didn't.

MSPs response: “Deal as long as you remove the signed self photo”

Watch MSP prove me wrong for all the wrong reasons, but this is 1% of the light at the end for me.

It will be the first time since Kenwright’s tenure that we’ll have an interested party on the Board (excluding Robert Earl, who was barely interested), that isn’t historically working for the club, a close friend of bill/Farhad or a family member.

These fellas have experience in running sports franchises, and doing it well, why would that stop here? They’ll want a return on their investment, which makes me think it can be successful.

I just pray we capitalise on the new stadium and build it to reflect where we want to be on the pitch.

My guess is that the deal is dependent on us staying up. Pure and simple. Relegation means there is no deal.

I can’t see it.

Their Portfolio contains 2 lower league sides in Alcorcon, Beveren and then Estoril, who recently spent time in the second tier of Portugal.

I don’t think it will be a red flag. But I understand the concern from others mind.

Time will tell. I just want to see the back of the current board. Even if Moshiri stays.

It will certainly help dilute their influence.

Ultimately, these fellas are just here to throw £125m down the pan, they’ll want a return in exposure, financially or however else they see it pan out.

Not a chance they’re letting Bill, Denise and Graeme Sharp run it like a circus.
