Me neither….I don’t take too kindly to bullies whether online or in person. I was just making a general point as opposed to a specific post or poster….I had to contend with a poster (was tempted to call that poster something else) the other day stating I was attempting to censor someone.

People are essentially keyboard warriors that’s why outside of this forum and WhatsApp, LinkedIn I’m not in any other form of social media, but the reality is, like in life, some people are wind up merchants, some people’s posting style is belligerent and the content can be deemed to be contrarian. Does that justify directing a specific label at someone because one holds a different view? Absolutely not. I’m not sure about it being unevertonian, all clubs have them but personal insults should not enter the debate.

That’s fine mate, but a group of lads, picking on one lad for contrary opinion - mocking the lad personally is wrong. It’s not what this is place is about. As you say if those broad strokes deviate from the group think and are able to pick or bully one lad personally that becomes normalised, permissions are created, it becomes less about the issue and more about the individual, I dont like bullying - especially when they hardly light up the forum themselves and don’t have that weight to throw around.

The opinion wasn’t even that unreasonable, take Peter Johnson - he was a stain on the club - but you will get many people saying he built the park end. The poster was making a similar point about DBB - I might not agree - but it doesn't justify being called a bellend and being personally mocked by about 10 on 1, that’s neither unity or debating, or being a blue for my money.

Oh bore off, he loves it. Like Kenwright loves his apologists.

Sorry but when someone claims that winning the Florida cup is something that Evertonians should be proud of it is they who are putting themselves up to be ridiculed and others can't be blamed for ridiculing them.

You were calling for censorship. You and Davek because of something being inconvenient to the club.

You can call me whatever you like. I don't really care. But let's not do what this Everton board have been doing. Misrepresentation and downright deceitfulness.

Let's not allow censorship of needed discussion or criticism where it is clearly needed

That has been going on surrounding Everton a long time. Discussion shut down for people saying they're "negative" when simply giving the reality of what is happening

2023's version of accusing people of being "negative" when people criticise the EFC board

The years of people telling me what I can and cannot do in terms of criticising terrible mismanagement of Everton by Bill Kenwright and Denise Barrett Baxendale are over.

If you don't like that agenda. Tough.

It’s not rocket science though is it…..to be a sustainable business which can compete at the top end of the PL, you can’t just rely on one man (see Clough and Forest/Derby) as prime examples.

You need all aspects of the club to be competitive including being commercially competitive in terms of revenue generation through sponsorship deals, and other enterprising commercial activity. This has always been the truth ….the fact our turnover as a club who is an ever present in the PL is comparable to clubs who have been relegated and promoted once or twice speaks for itself…..shocking ineptitude and if our club had been a publicly listed company that level of incompetence would not have been tolerated…..Kenwright, Wyness, Elstone and DBB would have been booted a long time ago.

Finally, speaking of our two latter CEOs, there are rumours that the current incumbent is looking elsewhere for a career change (having come from Academia and her most recent experience at EiTC) but I see no one lining up to take her and as for Elstone, his commercial and operational gravitas was such that he moved to the Super League and then to Stockport bloody County which he left in May - hardly FTSE 100 companies……just one huge lazy arsed operation at Everton and this has a massive impact on the pitch.

I tend to trust a successful award winning businesswoman like DBB far more than half the pseudo wolf of wall street social media Evertonian "influencers"

One of those "awards" was for a charity's work during 2020/2021. That charity for which she has has had no involvement with since year 2018 and that English law governing charities says it is illegal for her to be able to direct its operations. So why does she get an award for it then?

It's called "paying for influence" to then get personal "awards".

Self aggrandisement.

Self publicity seeking.

Whilst the club is now under independent commission investigation due to alleged Premier League P&S breaches having made hundreds of millions of pounds losses and faced two relegation battles

You're not proud seeing an underperforming team lift a trophy ? Why even bother supporting us ?
