crazy after selling all that we could still field a team capable of staying up even finish top 10. then take in the amount of money saved....

Just had a look at our reported wage bill. Snides, Klassen, Rooney, Sandro all over 100k/week.

Bolasie and Williams around 80k/week.

We may well be able to shift Rooney to MLS but we’re going to either take a massive hit or else have to keep these other players who have zero business playing for Everton on massive wages. No club in the world will touch those contracts.

Walsh and Ronald have played a blinder here.

We're going to lose Robles because his contract is up; he's ok as a back-up but I can't see him being satisfied with that. Rooney's all but gone too.

We could lose Williams, Garbutt, Martina, Browning, Galloway, Pennington, Besic, Mirallas, Tarashaj, Funes Mori, Bolasie with next to no impact on the quality of our squad. Klaassen, Keane, McCarthy, Schneiderlin should also go as soon as we get decent (with luck, much better) replacements.

I like McCarthy. He would’ve been a massive improvement on having to watch Rooney, Davies and Schneiderlen there. The injury was a freak accident.

Plus - I’m a big family man so I don’t mind if he stays
