The greatest sportsperson?

Tiger for me.
Didn't just change the sport, he was the sport.
I mean how many of these sports stars line up against 150 other competitors week in and week out, and at his best smack them all silly. Week after week. Year after year
Plus what's his win ratio? 22% of all tournaments he entered, won. Or sommat like that. Ridiculous.

He elevated everyone's game around him. Ferocious competitor and, for me, the best player to have played the game. I grew up a Cubs fan and a Blackhawks fan in Chicago as inherited from my mom and uncle. Never paid much attention to the Bulls until MJ came to town. He turned me into a basketball fan. I have nothing but admiration for his efforts on the court, but off the court he wasn't the best role model he could have been.

He elevated everyone's game around him.

And for me, that‘s what makes him great. Every sport has great individuals but this fella broke records and carried a franchise.

Brady must be up there cause of his longevity and championship rings.

Steph Curry and Lebron should be in the discussion imo.

Hard to discuss different sports in different eras.

Anyone who can win whilst smoking a pipe is OK with me ;)
C.B. Fry, 19th century amateur sportsman equalled the world long jump record halfway through smoking a cigar. Captained England in cricket (never lost a game) and football. Played for Spurs and Southampton. Scored 6 consecutive centuries, with only Barry Richards and Don Bradman also doing so.
Went a bit loopy towards the end of his life with a propensity to discard his clothes in public. Also became an admirer of Hitler, whom he met. Was also offered the throne of Albania for £10,000 but but he was habitually skint so turned it down.

As mentioned above, Don Bradman has to be in top three of greatest sportspeople
