I wouldn't mind Marko Silva to return here, think he's improved a lot at Fulham and if I'm honest I would not have got rid of him the first time, at least not that early. The Liverpool result turned a lot against him, but our Football was a lot better i thought, than it is now. We had a much better team that was much better balanced.

Injuries did for Silva here. Mina Zouma Gomes Gueye as the base was a solid team finishing 8th.

He last virtually all of that the next season and replacements in Gbamin and Delph were crocked immediately, the club failed on a CB replacement for Zouma, and Gomes did his ankle.

Enter clown show Keane and Davies, and all pace and strength and tour do the team, errors galore, and gaps started opening up. Confidence fell of a cliff and Moshiri panicked and pulled the trigger.

Also Gbamin's troubles were an indirect result of bad recruitment IMO. Summer 2019 we didn't have many options in centre mid. Schneiderlin got himself sent off in the first game against Palace. We were then forced to throw Gbamin in while not fully fit and he got injured straight away and never recovered

Under Silva we were looking like putting some form together as his first season came to an end. When we came back from the summer we were so far off the pace, it mirrored the way it went under Koeman. And then Carlo came in and got a tune out of the same bunch of players with a few additions in January.
Wouldn`t be against Silva coming back but I don`t know if he`d swap Fulham for to come into a job here that needs a lot of work to get us up the table.

It's because his assistant left and he then got Boa Morte. That's where the wheels came off.

Brands cost Silva his job with that second summer's recruitment.

By contrast Fulham have an incredible injury record this season and he's building something strong

I don't think we can really have any idea whether that's the case or not can we?! It's one of those convenient timing things that fans love to make a big deal of but i'm not sure there's any evidence to back it up.

Need evidence do we? 🤔 Since when did we become Wikipedia?
Do you want a source with that too?

Well no I mean more like what's actually the basis for believing that to be the issue? It just seems like one of them random things where people put 2 and 2 together to get 76. I don't think i'd ever even heard anyone mention it before but i've seen it on here for a few times in the last couple of weeks.
