I was fully expecting West Ham to struggle this season after letting Moyes go. He's a far better manager than he gets credit for, and despite spending big for Lopetegui, West Ham have gone backwards.Imagine thinking Lee Carsley is a better manager than Moyes or Dyche
I mean, he might prove to be in time, but I personally don't believe we're in a position to gamble.
I'd have Southgate before Carsley, and I don't rate him, but at least he's been an actual manager of a senior team for more than 500 minutes.
Moyes or Mourinho for me, once TFG are in a position to get their own man in that is. Let one of them get us in firmly back in to the top half, and then we can start looking to be more progressive with future manager selection.
In my opinion, anybody who want us to take a gamble, can't be that arsed about our future. Clubs who've been averaging 41 points over a sustained period shouldn't be taking gambles.

I get the opinion of "never go back" when lining up a manager change, but I certainly wouldn't rule out Moyes. He's very well suited to us, and I'm sure we would see a similar improvement that West Ham had under his management.
Yeah it’s a bit late now after we got rid of the likes of dobbin, simms and cannon etc.If he did come here, it assumes there are enough decent younger players for him to take a chance on
I'm not fussed on any of the British managers/coaches tbh but if it had to be one it would be him, he is really coming along as a top leader.Yeah it’s a bit late now after we got rid of the likes of dobbin, simms and cannon etc.
I’d like to think given he’s worked with young talent for the England team he would look to sign young promising players
Might be a rogue shout but a manager who I think could do quite well here is Michael Carrick
Think he’s a really decent manager him with potential going forward , he wouldn’t be my first choice but I wouldn’t be totally adverse to it .Yeah it’s a bit late now after we got rid of the likes of dobbin, simms and cannon etc.

There's surely an argument that 'picking favourites' is exactly what Carsley did. He just picked his favourites rather than Southgate's favourites.I like the trust he has in his squad. Not afraid to select new players and give opportunities to his whole squad. Under Southgate, it was very much him picking his favourites (sound familiar?)
Problem with Carrick, is if he did well, ManU would poach him off us if Amorim doesn't work out. I would ideally like an arl arse plus a young un to let the arl arse guide the younger feller through.Think he’s a really decent manager him with potential going forward , he wouldn’t be my first choice but I wouldn’t be totally adverse to it .
Look up and down the league mate, most people in charge at clubs are 'Head Coach' types these days, the days of the old school manager are long gone, hence why the likes of Moyes are sat on their backsides with no job offers, game has just moved on in recent years and clubs would rather micro manage every department and the head coach just worry about tactics/players/and game prep. Leave all the other stuff like the injury management, recruitment, youth teams and other stuff to other people then just have a few meetings during the week to bump heads together and make sure everyone is on the same page.If they went for Carsley they’d need to ensure we had a competent director of football and CEO as it seems like the fella is a coach rather than a manager .
Maybe that’d suit the new owners but parachuting Him in without sorting a structure behind him feels like a recipe for disaster which is probably on brand for the Everton we know and Love.
or that he, more than any other option mentioned, has a better knowledge of and relationship with the best young players in the country and could probably do some good loan/buy business. If he did come here, it assumes there are enough decent younger players for him to take a chance on
I reckon given a bit of time Lopetegui will come good for West Ham. He'll atleast match Moyse's success but with better football.I was fully expecting West Ham to struggle this season after letting Moyes go. He's a far better manager than he gets credit for, and despite spending big for Lopetegui, West Ham have gone backwards.

He played for EvertonCarsley has done nothing to warrant a job like Everton.
The first line of that is totally irrelevant. He played for Everton
He won a European trophy with the England U21s
He's managed the mens international team.
I'm not saying he's the answer but I think he'd do a better job than Dyche.
