Big fan of Silva's and didnt want us to sack him.

However i think we either need to go for the best up and comer which is McKenna at Ipswich or the best we can find on the continent who is Allegri.
Silva is one of the most underrated managers in the league. At Fulham, he’s consistently exceeded expectations, particularly given that many initially predicted they’d go straight back down due to a weak squad. Instead, he’s methodically built a team capable of competing with anyone, quietly doing his job without much fanfare.

I don’t think we should go back, to be honest. However, the fact that Moyes is leading the poll suggests most people are okay with the idea.

Moyes leading the poll says alot about the people voting for him.

it’s not TFG poll so it’s ok

I love that you have the ambition to say we should get Allegri, yet we have voters on here who want Moyes back it doesn't make any sense why go backwards

We should be aiming for the best and if not the best, the potential future best.

Allegri & McKenna imo are those two managers at this moment.

The major issue we faced previously was Moshiri giving huge money to build teams under awful managers (who the heck wanted koeman????).

Both of these managers have built and rebuilt teams successfully -- thats what we need.

Like you said we need a builder here, someone who loses players and just rebuilds the team time and time again, the appointment should be made with that intention regardless of what league they were/are managing in

Frank gets quite a bit of negativity on this thread but I'm not sure why. He seems to have done a good job from the outside. What am I missing?
Id like to see us try for him but get reasons why people not a fan was the first point the picked up away from home vs us. Finished below us last season, i think been unlucky with injuries toney ect. Prob needs a step up to show he can do better with nore money and better players

Good points. Can't say I watch loads of Brentford but they seem to have a good mixture of toughness, pace and flair. Staying up after swapping Toney for Maupay most of the season isn't bad going.

Koeman was a terrible first appointment for Moshiri, he didn't really care about the club and was extremely arrogant, kind of reminds me of someone else....

Exactly. If someone came in, worked with the DOF to focus on a mix of long term signings and short term flips (for PSR) then its a nice mix of profit and squad improvement.

The profit generation through flipping has clearly benefitted clubs like Brighton, with a conveyor belt of young replacements. A manager that can succeed in those conditions would be good value.

Hes someone that was insanely arrogant all his life and was all about himself.

Theres nuances to that where Mourinho for example gives off the vibes but in-house was all about the players.

A disaster to even be looking at him in the first place.

So I don’t mean you , this is a general point on revisionism. There are a lot of blues , again not pointing at you , who’ve forgotten that we had the same points as now and we’d just been battered by the RS who should have had more .

I think silva was let down with recruitment and I think he’s improved since leaving us , I liked the point on the blue room that if he’d gone to Fulham before us he’d probably have been a much better manager . Silva is doing really well at Fulham but from my recollections he wasn’t pulling up any trees here .
