We aren't in the new stadium until next season. Moyes could do a job to keep us in the league and get a long term replacement in for the summer.
Near £300m was spent at West Ham and he won 4 of his last 19 games and they had one of the worst backlines in the league last season. 6 seasons, 3 top half finishes 3 bottom half. If people take off the blue tinted spectacles for a moment and actually look at his career record its really not all that, 1100+ games as a manager and his record is very meh, not even won half those games not by a long way. Time has moved on, the game has moved on, and we need to move on. I highly doubt he would accept a short term deal anyway and he is not mad keen on working with DoF's and I doubt that TFG would abandon that model due to the backseat approach they seem to take.

There should be absolutely no thought of getting someone in for 12 months at this stage.

Unless the right manager for TFG is available and willing to join now (not just from the rag tag list of the unemployed and the barely employable) then there makes no sense in paying Dyche and his guys off, grabbing someone who happens to be available and kicking off their ownership regime with exactly the same shoddy decision that has led to the spiral of 7 years of [Poor language removed] and culminated in where we are now.

As long as the right person (or people) are in place or lined up to start in May then that will be fine. December is going to be vile, but there is light at the end of the tunnel.

Tricky one. There’s a clear logic to appointing Moyes but with the new owners and the new stadium it’s hard not dream of something exciting. Love to see a progressive young coach but I suspect we’ll go with a beige new Dawn with Moyes

I would been perfectly happy to have been called a Moyesette, I was a big fan of him when he was here and was very much in the 'careful what you wish for' camp when people assumed he was somehow holding us back.

I just can't get on board with the idea of coming back now at all though. I think that honestly could be the straw that broke the camel's back in terms of getting a season ticket etc - us starting a new era with new owners and a state of the art stadium and appointing a midtable manager who's approaching retirement age might just tip me over the edge. It would be an absolutely ridiculous, completely unjustifiable move. So in many ways David, welcome home.

If Spurs do something grade 'a' stupid and get rid of Ange, we should move heaven and earth to get him.
We don't have the players to implement his style, their squad is superior to us and they are still incapable of realizing an effective consistent vision for his football. Seems like he would be suited for another celtic situation (a top club in a limited league)

Nah mate, can’t being doing with the miserable gob on him. Can’t look at whoever is speaking to him, always looking at the floor or the desk in front of him, plus he always looks like he’s just crawled in after a five day bender the utter antipodean meff!
