I don't get the Tuchel wouldn't come to us shouts.

He would.

Unless there is another better club sniffing around, we could easily pay him what he wants, he'd be managing in the PL, in a brand new stadium and with the promise of some funds could be given leeway to imprint his style on the squad.
Yea, I think we'd have a shot at any manager bar maybe 10 or so.
And any out of work manager would jump at the chance.

Surely you all have been in the world long enough to understand that someone who starts working for their dad at 22 is probably not where they are in life totally on merit?

I mean it can work out, Kyle Shanahan is one of the best coaches in the NFL, but he also had to stop working for his dad before he got a chance to be the head guy. Go get a job on your own Davide!

Arteta spent two decades playing at a high level and was offered jobs by Poch, Wenger and Pep, who you may notice are all not his father, before working with Pep. So that’s a terrible comparison.
He has his pro license.
He's been assistant at Bayern, Napoli, Everton, and Real Madrid.
Who knows what he's been offered.
Maybe comparing him to Arteta isnt the best comparison
But I'll take his experience over getting Burnley relegated twice anyday

He got his pro license last year! He’s been in coaching since 2012. That’s a pretty big gap without trying to take the next step.

I'm fine with it.
He seems to be generally viewed as a very good young coach.
He clearly did well defensively at Everton.
He's learning from the very best.
He has experience working at the biggest clubs.
He'll be able to appoint an excellent backroom team
He'll be able to attract great loan and perm signings.
He's young and will energize the fan base.
Oh, and he knows the city ;)

….if our form picks up whilst we await the conclusion of the purchase, DFG might see it as a huge risk in replacing Dyche. Obviously that risk diminishes if we continue to flounder and a replacement is almost inevitable.

Big few games for Dyche, big few games for us all.

The irony for Dyche though is if he does turn it around and get us to a more comfortable position, the more attractive we become to the sort of managers TFG might look to bring in. So as I said in another thread he may be damned either way.

Is he viewed as a good young coach?
I don’t think that is so clear.
Don’t want to debate on who the best manager is but I think there’s a clear set of skills Carlo doesn’t have as evidenced by what happened at Everton.
We aren’t one so that means nothing.
Will he? He’s only ever worked with his dad and his buddies.
Again are we sure?
But this isn’t exclusive to him at all.

I think the case is very very thin, not just for us but for any top flight club in a major league.
