He's right though. I can understand us going back for Kendall, he was the most successful manager in our history. What did Moyes do first time around and the answer is nothing, we had 11 years of mediocrity.

I'm clearly in the minority, but I think this is a good arranged marriage for the next 18 months or so. We need someone who can come in and stabilize us. That will include being frugal and finding good value players to bring in, which Moyes has done in the past. Let's not forget that we have half a squad to replace in the summer. He's not exciting, but he's a smart hire imo. Folks need to get past some things that were said in a frustrating time 11 years ago. He made some mistakes, but I'm sure some of it was brought on by fans slagging him off for taking what at the time was the biggest job in the world.

All Dyche had to do was get us comfortably to about 45 points and he could have lasted the season and a proper, progressive appointment be made in the summer.
