Some of the levels of delusion on here ... the amount of posts about length of contract ... who gives a monkeys. If he's successful, he stays. If he fails, he's sacked. That's all that matters. There aren't a ream of posts on here talking about Dyches settlement is there? So it doesn't matter.
Secondly the talk about how it's not what we expected from the new owners and doesn't bode well for the future..... We are in a crisis here. Three points above the drop zone, can barely score from open play against a league one side. The long term vision goes on hold now. Going into BMD while in the Premier League is the only thing that's important now.
I thought some of this level of delusion was reserved for those loons on RAWK but it must be contagious. Realism needed.

Whilst Moyes is obviously an upgrade on Dyche it’s all a bit Everton of old from the new owners. There wasn’t much excitement when they took over, mainly due to Dyche ball, but what little there was is evaporating.

If he comes back I really want it to work out for everyone.

I don't know what's worse, an away trip to Stoke next season or a smug Dave. I shudder at the thought of both of them.

These next 6 months should everyone focus.

I'd like to think once it's done we can just get behind the team and drag ourselves to safety, instead moaning about Moyes trying to signing Felliani and Baines a life time ago.

Mate it was 12 years old when Moyes went to United.

A lot of water under the bridge since then.

If the majority of the fanbase can welcome Rooney back they can do it for Moyes.

Live and let live.
Mate there are some seriously miserable fans out there who lack the ability to move on and let go. I have zero time for those people. They just live to complain, I suspect they've been cheated on many times in their personal lives and it festers. Moyes is the right choice for now, nothing more nor less. Couldn't care less about how he left us, sick of bitter fans they really do give our fanbase a bad rep.

It's not helpful in the slightest and the media, who love throwing the boot at the minute will pick up on it quick.

Unfortunately people just need to put their big boys pants on for a couple of months.

Next 6 months are vital not something that happened 12 years old....make no mistake we're in a massive fight to the death here.

12 players leaving in the summer
No director of football.

Moyes gets to rebuild the football club.

That's not the future I signed up for if he gets longer than this season

I think some perspective is required here

Right now we’re in a relegation battle, we’re still not out of the PSR jungle, and we’ve got a squad of players who either aren’t that great or have mentally checked out

Do you really want to throw a bright young manager into shark infested waters like that? Would any of them even want the job under the current circumstances?

It’s probably time for an experienced head to get us out of the mud in the short term

If Moyes does get it, then it’s going to be more about laying the table and steadying the foundation for the manager that follows him

Moyes will be a stop along the way, not the final destination

There’s a bigger picture here that goes beyond the next six months
