How long will Gibson be away?
Who ran the fkin debt up over the last 10 years.
Jesus Christ some of the stuff that gets wriiten on here.
Oh it was Bill. Oh and he's still here so why pretend anything is different. I've read a few of your posts and I have to say you spout about as much **** as little joe and John crib combined. Well in sir.
I know! It's not like we have any debt or loans to service or anything.
Calm down eh ladies?
The blue lady has a much better swing there.
As a matter of fact, the average league placing under Moyes was between 7th and 8th spot. Solidly mid table. It´s a big ask, but certainly not impossible that RM manages to fill those shoes.
Taking everything into account moyes did tremendous for us, especially from a PL point of view. From where we were when he took over he dragged our ass's back up to where we are now. But he's gone now so ffs....
Hater's stop Hating.....Lovers stop Loving!
There's a new king in town! (Hopefully)
While what you say is true, it's something which is happening across the top half of the PL.The biggest problem for Martinez at the moment is knowing when Moyes is going to stop toying around with Everton and finally make a reasonable bid for either Fellaini or Baines. That is snagging our season preparations no end. If and when he does come back for either or both of those it'll show you the cut of the man, landing 'the special club' to him with a massive headache as he comes in for them late...something he very well knows will suit our board rather than the manager.

As a matter of fact in the full seasons Moyes was in charge we finished 7th, 17th, 4th, 11th, 6th, 5th, 5th, 8th, 7th, 7th and 6th.
= 7.54 average
An average only significantly bettered by Manchester United, Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool. The same 4 clubs who outspend Everton by roughly £100m a year each.
Of the other teams who were everpresent
Tottenham = 7.27
Manchester City = 8.36
Villa = 10.63
So we have the 6th highest average finishing position in the league (and it was 5th until Tottenham cranked up their spending a few years back)
Which of those teams should we have been finishing higher than?
If your answer, as it should be, is none given the financial gulf then you are effectively saying that finishing above every other team we could realistically compete with (and some we shouldn't) isn't an achievement.
If Martinez can match Moyes' league performances on a similar budget then he'll be a HUGE success.
the more pertinent question is should we have been finishing lower than the teams that have finished below us - e.g. villa/city? i say no. certainly we were always player for player a better outfit than villa.
Who signed those players and had them playing better?
Again, if we finished higher than EVERY team we realistically could have, is that not worthy of praise?
