its quite hard to sell average players on football manager, so imagine what its like in real life! people act like you can just trade players in to banks or something

M'Vila is smashing. I agree.
He wanted to go here in January, so if we made an offer, he wouldn't hesitate.

The problem would be the fee. He's started being a regular for Kazan so I doubt they'd take a loss on him. Plus the wages he'd want would cause bill a heart attack. Great player though and would pay anything up to 15mill for him if we sold fellaini.

why would we WANT to sell our best two players? i understand selling a fellaini or lescott and buying 3/4 players with the money to strengthen if a team comes in with a big bid, but actively encouraging selling our best players? that's going to show a total lack of ambition that would make nobody good not really want to come to us.

Because it was always going to happen that moyes would try to buy them. We couldve told him that ''look, if you're interested in them you have to come in early, we aren't going to be selling anyone from the first of august onwards. So pay up, or forget it"

That would've made him realise that he needed to act, and we couldve got in the money earlier and prepared to get in players before the season started. Its been an open secret that he wants these players and it was pretty obvious that they'd come back in for baines at a later date.

We don't shop at harrods anyways mate. We don't sign expensive players who have the whole 'the club isn't ambitions enough' mentality. The players we get in are normally delighted that we are in for them.

It wouldn't show a lack of ambition but great forsight. We couldve been proactive instead of reactive which is exactly what's going to happen. We need the money to be ambitious. To a club like ours with no finances, this money got take us up a notch if spent correctly regardless of the quality that we're losing.

You watch a lot of foreign footie mate? Fair play like.

I think Mbokani would cost a few bob to get from Kiev. Literally know next to nothing about Ali Adnan.

Dos Santos isn't really all that, he's a one in four player, boss against a really crap team at home but not with the consistency or attitude to thrive at a club for that long. He'll end up back in the Mexican league and doing too much bugle and brass before too long.

Taarabt is similar, couldn't manage the step up to the Prem and Barkley is a better option there. Seen a bit of Quintero who looked sound but not enough that I could make a judgement on how he'd do in the Premier League.

Dos santos has been consistently great for some time now. Took some time to win over his first team spot at mallocra but when he did he was really impressive. He was great in his first game for villareal.

Spurs simply didn't give him a chance. He hardly ever played when he was there and everytime he went on loan he was impressive. Him and coleman on our right hand side would be fantastic to watch.

Taarabt has as you say failed to make the step up but IMO its more about the style of play his teams have had.

IMO ross barkley should be played in midfield rather than as a no10. Really think he could be the best midfielder in the prem. All he'd really need to do is is become a better player from a tactical standpoint and then he'd be fantastic.

You can't spread transfer fees over the contract length for players bought in this country, they have to be paid within 12 months.

They do, but does bill have to pay it all up front...no is the answer hence the down payments of 1m then 1.5m

So back to the question how much do you think bill has lashed out in transfer fees to aquire these new 4 players?

One was free and one was on loan, so we're talking about 2 actual transfers right? £1.8m.

So how exactly do you know this, or is this some sort of game you play on forums?

Bill has lashed out nothing mate.

I've no idea how much EFC Ltd have put down as the initial payment, & neither have you mate, & it doesn't matter a flying one anyway does it?

they weren't his first choices though. He wanted thiago and fabregas, if he'd have got one of them he wouldn't have even been in for fellaini. why should we give him insentive to buy our best players, they're ours not his, he can **** off really.

i agree ideally if one were to be sold it would have been straight away, but the longer it goes on the more reason we have to say no **** off you scruffy ginger meff, and then the more chance of us getting a higher fee.
