I don't mean to sound funny lad but are you smoking crack?

Just on the highlighted parts you apparently think its fine to have hibbert at cb ahead of stones, hes played their before he was a little bit gash and hes a midget, heitanga apparently if he stays is ideal to play for us, did you even see any games last year when the word gash fails to come close to how he played, he shouldn't be allowed near the pitch again even as a groundsman, and you seem to think the option to have Naismith and Gueye as fully fledged parts of the squad is an option... seriously wtf.

saved the best for last though... Osman on the ****ing right wing again, have you ever seen the lad play their ... he was possibly worse than even Naismith.... and that switch is supposed to help out coleman who in case you missed it is looking one of the best players we have atm, Help him with osman lol, more like leaving him out their to hang and doubling his workload

Just gobsmacked by your entire post as its worthy of a OMFG are you serious comment

Well if we lose distan, jags aand kev and pinnear with knocks next year

Howard
Coleman -Hibbert -Heitenga - Baines
Osman - Fer - Gibson - Gueye
Naismith
Big Vic

Champions league quality lids. Hibbo, heienga, Naismith and Gueye and Ozzy tearing up and down the park like bolts of lightning

That team ffs

*shoots self in face

Martinez might think differently but I wouldn't count Barkley as a CM at the moment. If any of our current central midfielders got injured we couldn't put Ross in there and expect him to protect the back four or dictate play. At a stretch he could be a wildcard behind the striker, but I think that more experienced players would get the nod first. I imagine him breaking into the team on the right hand side and moving more centrally as his game develops.

Disagree about Barkley. He has all the qualities to dictate play in cm, and he isn't afraid to put in a tackle. All he is lacking is experience in my opinion. He may not be first choice initially but be shouldn't be too far down the pecking order now. I can see him developing in a similar way to Coleman. He may make the odd mistake, but they will become rarer the more he plays.

Mate not only is he trying to stick him on the wing now, the other day he was saying he wont be able to protect the back four, anyone can see his best spots in the so called play-maker position where he doesn't have to do much of the defensive graft - although with experience he could turn into a true center mid

anyone though who talks about him being best on the right simply 1) hasn't got eyes or 2) has never seen the lad play, then again he seemed to think him playing off the striker is a stretch somewhat amusingly...

good shout about coleman though, just goes to show what playing a lad can do for their development

Just to put it out there Nathan Redmond is apparently available for around 2mil. He was a bit crap for englands u21 but you can see he's got the raw talent to become a good winger.
Wouldn't be against signing him so Martinez can develop him as he has done with n'zogbia, moses and mcmanaman.

John Stones has played 24 games for Barnsley at right back and never in the Premier League. Tony Hibbert has represented us 259 times and has played at centreback under Moyes in an emergency. Would you rather play two academy players (Stones and Duffy) instead?

Heitinga is probably going. If he isn't then he was our player of the year not so long ago and was good enough to play in a World Cup final. Playing regularly and having two central defenders alongside him come help him to rediscover that form.

I think Naismith could be our version of Kuyt and score some important goals. He has struggled to adapt but he's been asked to play in a new position and he hasn't featured very much, so it's understandable.

Gueye will find a new club in France I expect. If we're going to have players like that in the squad they need to be contenders for a starting position otherwise they might as well not be there.

Osman broke into the England squad and scored only one fewer than our second top scorers (Mirallas and Anichebe) in all competitions, despite playing for much of the season in a deeper role. We might as well try and accommodate him in the side. And if Mirallas or Barkley played in front of Coleman they're likely to leave him exposed, which will mean that he won't be able to get forward as much. Ossie could do for him what Pienaar has done for Baines on the other side.

What is your amazing idea? Get rid of Heitinga, Naismith, Gueye and Osman? We might get about £8m for the lot if we're lucky. That would cover Fer's transfer fee. Now how are you going to cover the other three positions?

we won't be going into the season with duffy and stones as 3rd and 4th choice centre backs

He's 19. We can't expect him to run the show for us.

Alright, let's bin Osman and put Barkley alongside Gibson. I'm sure that he wouldn't go chasing around after the ball and leaving big holes, making rash tackles, getting caught in possession, giving the ball away or freezing. It's not as if it's a position that carries much responsibility. I'm pretty sure that anyone can do it. I can't understand why Moyes didn't think of it.

I know we've got international players like Fellaini and Mirallas who could play off the striker but we should definitely put a lad with 13 appearances there instead. He'll know exactly how to work between the lines, he won't be overly selfish by trying to beat men or shoot when a better option is on and he'll definitely score as many as Fellaini.

Playing Coleman in a less responsible role in midfield to introduce him to the team was a terrible idea and I certainly wouldn't recommend it for Barkley. It would be foolish not to put him straight in the deep end at the expense of a seasoned professional.

The original point was made that Stones is more a centreback than a rightback. If Jagielka, Distin and Heitinga/Alcaraz got injured Duffy would be next in line and then we'd probably have a choice between Stones and Hibbert for the next up.
