Imagine Kone and Jelavic up front, and Victor the only replacement on the bebcnh.

Division One here we come.

Very much so, although i wouldn't mind Alcalaz on a free for depth. Anything more than £3.5 million for a player of Kone's abilty and age i'd be very unhappy indeed with

Pienaar cost us £5m aged 30.

Kone is a year younger, if he costs the same and comes and scores 10 goals a season (like at Wigan) for say three seasons, you'd be unhappy with that ? Really ?

That trio would be seriously underwhelming. Does Roberto still think he is Wigan manager?

Same here look at this from the Wigan forum on Kone - - Morning chaps, Wigan Athletic here. I have been reading with interest your views on Kone. I remember watching him a few years ago when he has more pace at PSV and he was the real deal, However now he has lost some of that pace and wasn't the same striker i got excited about when i heard we were linked. He only really has two good points :- His hold up play is the best I've seen in a Wigan shirt, Can really make space for himself and others And he is strong in the air. His bad points are :- Extremely ball greedy, Wants to take everyone on and go for the glory. His shooting from outside of the box leaves a lot to be desired and he is too slow at getting into position when there is a break on.

The thing about Pienaar is that he's already proving that it was a risky signing with a relatively bad payout unless he really picks up this season. His star is fading and fast.

Kone apparently has a release clause of £6m... If we've paid that for a 29 year old who scored 11 goals I'll lose my head! Le Fondre would have cost £1m and he's younger and scored more!

None of the 3 players mentioned will get in our first 11, Kone at a push so there pretty pointless signings. We need first 11 quality.

Where to start here.

- I doubt we would pay £6m for him
- Adam Le Fondre........good god
- £1m??!?!!?

And Moyes acknowledged that was a bad business deal and not the type of deal he normally does. And it looks a poor deal 12 months on as he looks a shadow of the player of old.
