The summer 2013 Everton transfer rumourZ thread

Just seen on lcab twitter that we are looking to close 3 deals on Monday Kone Alcatraz and mcgeady. Lcab is normally spot on with his info aswell.

Can't help but feel we are being left behind. Teams in relagation battle last year are bringing in better quality than us. I can't help but feel that this is because of all this contract ending [Poor language removed] up and Martinez being away. This surely is slowing us down. If Swansea do sign Bony I will feel sick. We need to splash cash on a striker.

We need to get a decent winger first IMO mate. Kev's preferred position is a striker and Pienarr's on the decline and could be moved inside. Oviedo's preferred position is Left Back and I'm a better Right Winger than Steven Naismith.

If we don't sell Fellaini then our 2nd priority is a striker IMO.

Cardiff City have confirmed they have reached an agreement to sign FC Copenhagen striker Andreas Cornelius #CCFC

I'm away for a walk.

We need to try and find our Suarez/Bale lite, Dave. That's what we need to push on. The top 4 is our next step and we probably won't get there with McGeady and Kone when our "rivals" are bringing in Higuain and similar.

We might get the signings you're looking for yet. When Fellaini goes we're going to need to use that cash to get a couple in: one to replace Fellaini but who has a bit more pace from cm than we have currently, another to go with Kone, if we can shift Jelavic or Vic out (although I'd prefer to retain Victor as he can be a handful if you need to switch to a more direct game).

If we dont get those players we all want though, who's fault will that be really? We all knew who to point the finger at for bargain basement signings when Moyes was here and it hasn't suddenly changed overnight.

All complaints directed to: Billy Liar, Shaftesbury Avenue, West London.

What's happened to Löic Remy? Has he moved yet? He wouldn't be a bad shout, used to buy him all the time on Fifa 12. Him & Llorente got 50 goals each one year. Sign them both.

Decent shout. Wages might be an issue but I'd back him to get us goals. Got to question his character though as he might be a bit 'rapey'

I also think we need a good ball playing centre half.

None of the 3 players mentioned will get in our first 11, Kone at a push so there pretty pointless signings. We need first 11 quality.

First 11 quality is going to cost a lot of money as our first 11, lets be honest is a very good one. We've moaned all season about how we have virtually no squad, Martinez is addressing that problem with 3 decent signings, and this is all without a player sale. When we sell Fellaini and Heitinga then the first 11 quality will be getting bought.

If we bought BIG first then Kone, Alcaraz and McGeady second, i dont think a lot of people would be complaining.

Can people stop going into meltdown when a **** team signs a **** player who nobody's ever seen play before please...

I would be.

They are players who neither improve the first team nor are young enough to significantly improve as players.

Total waste of our VERY limited finances.

However they've not signed yet so I shall leave the hissy fit for another time.

Kone is undoubtedly a decent little player and I'm sure most clubs would be happy picking him up for 5m if they had more cash to spend but I can't believe we are set to bring in 3 players who have an average age of almost 29 and would take up around 100k a week in wages. Elstone has just been going on about how trading players is a viable means of surviving as a football club but less than a week later we want to spend £10m on players with little to no resale value? The squads too old as it is

I do agree but can't help but feel that Kev would struggle up top in the prem. I just think he's a bit lightweight. Also if we play him up top, there is no one with any ariel threat in the box (providing we got Honda to sit behind striker.) if we do need to resort launching it in the box.
