Arsenal could offer Everton Aaron Ramsey as part of their bid for Marouane Fellaini.

The Gunners are keen to complete a deal for the big-haired Belgian, but have so far refused to match the star’s £24 million release clause.

And, as a result, boss Arsene Wenger is ready to throw Ramsey into any potential deal.

The Welshman was once hailed as a star of the future.

But he has struggled to live up to his early billing, and could yet be used to make up the numbers in the Gunners’ bid for Fellaini.

Wenger values Ramsey at £7m, and would be prepared to offer the star to the Toffees, alongside a cash payment of £17m.

However, boss Roberto Martinez is keen to keep hold of his prized asset, and may yet tell the Gunners to stump up the full £24m.

its too bad that players are sold for money instead of traded for the rights of other players like in the states. would be a whole lot more fun to see how that would go down.

That article is a load of rubbish, not a chance Wenger would let him go. Ramsey is a talented player, the horrific injury halted his progress and he suffers by being compared to Wilshere, but he'd be a really good addition to most sides, certainly ours - i'd much rather have him than someone like McCarthy

interesting use of words there...'could offer' then 'would be prepared to offer'.... how has this landed on their desk as news.. someone could do something??? media or Arsenal getting desperate, either way never been more certain we don't sell

He's always reluctant to spend big, especially if a big player doesn't leave the club. Have a sneaky feeling we'll be bidding farewell to Fellaini on the final day of the transfer window though.

Dunno, I think the buyout clause ends on the 16th of August. If anyone wants him, I'd imagine they'd make a move before then.

Fellaini and Baines going nowhere I reckon. None of the noises from the player or club indicate it. Our record with players indicates it won't happen. Even the so called business reasons are not there. buy a raw promising youngster for 15 mill knowing you are gambling on him fitting in, reaching his potential, watch him slowly find his feet despite being singled out by officials and the opposition, wait till he starts to reach his prime and shows evidence of being world class in one position and very useful in another, he becomes a huge marketing tool for the club, sign him on a long term contract. sell him for not a lot more than you got him considering the inflated market. great move. if the clause is true and I don't see evidence for it then its tough on us, but till its proved, maybe we can look forward to the season with the nucleus of a really good side still here and not with Fellaini or Baines gone and replaced by a couple of overpriced players who have done well on FM 2013, or even worse money in the bank that we won't spend

With cash id snap their hands off.
