I see unnecessary "panic" hit the fans, we are already much stronger than last season with the 4 additions and some of the youngsters like Barkley getting a year older, we have a new manager (the best part in it is that Moyes is gone), Deulofeu Kone and Mirallas will destroy most of the teams and Jelavic, Anichebe and Vellios as backup, yet some want more strikers, who are we? PSG? Barca?

Do you really think jelavic would want to be back up though?

Sign someone - even on loan.
Bring through Long, McAleny, Hope & maybe Duffus

Leaves Kone, Anichebe, Vellios + Someone... Plus the kids to blood in cup games etc.

Injury to Kone?... Mirallas/Deulofeu capable of playing off of big Vic or Vellios - Or throw Fellaini up top again.

Not necessarily backup, rotation between him and Kone, or Martinez even play 2 upfront, we have no idea yet, let the man do his job, he signed 4 players (and said he will sign 4 players) and now he is checking the squad including the youngsters, he has to see them in training, he has to know what each player has in mind, does Fellaini wants to move? Baines? Jelavic, Johny? Will Naismith, Geuye be good enough covers or its better to offload them? Any youngster needs to go out on loan to get experienced?

All that and more importantly he has to train the players to his own tactics and formation, he has to get them ready and he only has 25 days to do so.

The obsession with "signing" players is funny, yeah we might be short in CM but maybe Martinez sees Barkley and Junior ready for first team.

Just let the man do his job, he inherited a team that finished 6 and was challenging for the 4th spot and spent some money on 4 of his own choice players, so far handled the Baines to united and Fellaini situations much better than Moyes, if he thinks Jelavic is not good enough or doesn't fit his system, fine by me, and selling him doesn't necessarily means we need a replacement, we already signed 2 attackers and maybe Martinez likes Anichebe and sees Vellios as someone who is ready to step up, or maybe he has someone else in mind and wants to offload Jelavic first and sign his target, we have no idea what he has in mind.

Really? We finished 6th.

The likes of Stones & Duffy didn't get a kick, everyone was moaning that Barkley got little pitch time. We had young promise like Lundstram & Garbutt doing great out on loan. Experienced back up like Der Hammer barely got his shorts dirty sat on the bench & Velios did a Lord Lucan.

We finshed 6th becuase our legs were gone by the end when we could have gone higher with more squad investement.

The other lads were not ready, simple really.

Anyway, if Man U don,t start landing some big targerts very soon then i can see another run on our key players before the season kicks off.
