Fer said him self "Everton did nothing wrong"

Exactly. If a club medical indicates there's a chance that the player may have a long standing injury concern then I would expect the club to renegotiate the payment terms based upon that fact. That's a far more prudent approach than is advocated by too many on here.

But. It's easier to blame a patsy than look at things objectively most of the time.

No reason why either party can't try again.

Miralles is more than capable of playing up front mate just means playing either osman or barkley off him, fill out with a loan deal from a big money club, lukaku, guidetti, bojan, all where on loan at places last year or so even tap up the moyes for welbeck or hernandez should utd bring in another big name, theirs nowt wrong with loaning out of your price range to buy if it gets you to where ya want to be at

We need to start the season with more than Jelavic and Anichebe. Striker is the first position to strengthen in my opinion. Kone would probably score quite a few here but he´s 29 and it´s always a downer paying millions for someone reaching the final years of their career.

I've got a feeling that we'll start the season with jelavic up front and if he still looks useless he'll be replaced on transfer deadline day.

which will make sure his price tag is much higher than his value. i'd rather let someone else take the punt on him tbh. he's only played well for a couple of months, you can't buy people based on that

Correct.

I would have no objection to having McMannaman back here in the squad. But his price is going to be over-priced. And he has had a 3 month football career so far. I honestly think Wigan would be asking around 5M, and when u consider for 5M we bought mirallas (a international **** hot player) it kind of shows the reality of the situation with mcmanaman.

Simlar story with McCarthy IMO but I would imagine Wigan wanting at least 10M for him! This for a player that I can't even recall 1 moment of brilliance or headlines about. Not sure what his posistion is classed as but from what I've seen from Wigan and Ireland he plays a deeper role much like Gibson who I believe a better player. So many better players out there if we had 10M to buy a CM

So it's a no from me on both unless there was give away deals available.

Pretty sure Martinez has more respect for Wigan than to pillage them of their best players. We wont sign any of the ones we have to pay actual money for.

Have to agree with this although I like both players. If they were part of our first team for the next 10 years it wouldn't be bad value but I'm just not sure if they're good enough.

Correct also.

Anyone who doesn't see our most important signing this summer being a Striker is mad. A firing jelavic or say Rooney playing up top for us last season would IMO probably seen us claim 4th and CL.

I think with what's in the transfer kitty and the 1 or 2 fringe players we could move on, we can bring in the CB CM and winger we need. Fellaini leaving is the key to buy a top top striker! And a must IMO.

I asked my Wigan fan mate about Alcaraz on FB:

Hes alright... He thinks he's a centre mid with all the wandering he does tho you could probs do better tho

If I was in charge (Lucky for everyone I´m not), I´d reason a bit like this:

1. Say the net budget is about 10 mil and Fellaini stays; I´d:

- Try to buy a younger striker for around 5 mil who could hopefully grab 10 plus goals over the next season.

- Use the other 5 mil for a ball playing midfielder who ultimately would be versatile enough to play more centrally and on the wing if need be.

- Sign Alcaraz on a free.

- Go bargain hunting in Spain for loans or Bosnans (easy to say, harder to do, I know).

If Fellaini does go for 25 mil and Martinez get´s 20 mil from that.

- Buy Fer or someone similar for 10 mil.

- Sing a striker capable of scoring 15 plus goals for say 10 mil (Negredo comes to mind).

- Sign Alcaraz and another midfielder for 5 as stated above.

Just remembered we need a reserve GK as well.
