Plan is perhaps a little strong, but that's the vote I'm choosing.

Anthony Gordon leaving equals new signings. They might have thought offers would come in for some of the less desirables, but sadly not!

I can't imagine anybody at the club thinking we were going to challenge for anything this season, so maybe trying to find the right players is more time consuming, hence waiting for sales. Having said that, if there are no sales, last minute panic buying might be the only answer to increase squad numbers, so it's a plan of sorts.

If we fail to add a half descent goal scorer before the window shuts, Rondon is it.

Happy days!

Its good to have a plan but one that foresees us going after the likes of MGW only to have him swept up by NFFC. So we need a multifaceted plan.
I'd be happy if we got Gana over the line and this Kuduss fella with a new CF and a winger to replace ant-ney

I quite like this Pedro chap. If we can get Broja on loan and him, Kudas and Gana and the perhaps another wide player we will be well set

As a neutral observer, there seems to be a plan in place.
  • You got Coady and Tarkowsky in so you're not reliant on Keane and Mina. Holgate seems to play better in a three than a two
  • You got 2 left and 2 right backs, which is more than what you had last season.
  • You're fixing up the midfield. Onana is a good addition and Iwobi seems to have found his feet as an attacking mid. The rest aren't that great but they'll act as cover till their contracts run out or they get sold.
  • You have two wingers in Gray and McNeil. You've been linked to more.
  • Only thing that sucks is you have no real striker. Hopefully Chelsea will give you a break on a loan once they get Gordon.
All in all, not that bad. Unfortunately you're going to be hamstrung until all the bad contracts get off the books.

Unless the plan is to agree deals for strikers before any other club gets a sniff that we have accepted a bid for Gordon (these things always get out) so prices don’t get inflated as clubs know we have the cash. But this is Everton and we aren’t that smart.

I certainly do not think they have a strategic master plan up there sleeve that's for sure
It just seems like panic and asking around at who’s available. Obviously I’m getting all this from the journalists who don’t seem to know what we’re doing but I feel that’s because the club don’t know themselves
