;) Went to craft bars/microbreweries...

Il Santo Bevitore & Bar Santa Lucia in Venice,

John Martin, Mary's Pub & La Guinette Baladin in Jesolo,

Brewdog, Il Santo Bevitore & La Prosciutteria in Bologna.

Have got Budapest later in the year and have already checked out some bars for decent beer, but will go back to Italy next summer, probably start in Verona for a wee change.

Where do you find out about best bars for beer mate?

Anytime I'm going somewhere, UK or abroad, I look on sites like Ratebeer or Beer Advocate. Ratebeer marks bars, bottle shops and beers out of 100, higher the better, Beer Advocate has forums where beer lovers give recommendations for bars in most major cities in Europe and USA. Just googling beer venues in (wherever your heading to) is also a good idea.

Thank so mate I'll check them out ;)

Rome is fantastic !!!!!!!!!
Note... if you intend to visit the Vatican and take the tour, lots of people will recommend you go early. Don't !! Go about 1.30pm when the morning rush has died down and the queues are considerably shorter than the morning !!!

Or book in advance. There were hundreds upon hundreds in line in the rain... and we skipped straight to the front.

Rhodes for 9 nights from the 8th August. Never been before but looks nice.

What's Cuba like for kids? Planning on going with the wife and 3 kids next year but not sure of the is a lot for them to do.

Me and the Mrs have flights booked up to Pula in Northern Croatia for a couple of weeks at the back end of September. Got nowhere booked but we'll start off in beautiful Rovinj. A truly stunning place full of quality restaurants and bars at rock bottom prices. Not a stag party, hen night or karaoke bar in sight.
Hydrofoil over to Venice for a day then hire a car and explore the mountain villages and then up into Slovenia. Can't wait! Here's Rovinj by the way.

It felt huge
Hope you enjoy the flight mate. Never flown an Air France A380 but have been on Qantas, Emirates and Singapore Airlines ones. Seating config is different with each airline, generally economy is on the lower deck. Take-off and landing on the A380 is an experience, you wonder how something so big gets airborne. Feels surprisingly roomy onboard in spite of the 400+ passengers. I'm quite tall so do prefer the A380 over B787 / A340 on long flights, might just be a perception thing but I don't feel so cramped on the double-decker.

It was a great experience - so quiet and graceful despite its obvious size and power. Take off was what I expected....with the air being so thin in J'Burg the flights always seem to struggle a little on take off and the A380'was no different. The landing was odd....almost like a jump-jet harrier landing but with limited noise. It really is an incredible piece of engineering.
