In San Antonio, Texas, at the moment and loving it. Great city, fantastic people, superb local brews and excellent food.

Spent the last few days in New Orleans and would not recommend it. Far, far too many young kids on holiday for the first time without their parents getting wasted and acting like general knob heads.

Was in Chicago last week and enjoyed it for a few days, had my first deep dish pizza and it was definitely as tasty as I'd imagined all those years.

Before that stayed a few nights in Brooklyn and used the NYC rent a bike scheme to see a lot of that area, East Williamsburg and Manhattan in general. Never get tired of visiting the Big Apple.

Off to Austin in a few days and expecting good vibes and a great time. Will update.

Going to New York for a week in December.

Have got a few things picked out, also when I'm there both the NY Rangers are playing as well as the NY Giants. Anyone with any recommendations on which to go and see? Never been to an NFL or NHL game so pretty open.

Also staying in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. Again any must-see bars or places to grab a bite would be much appreciated.

Stayed in Bedstuy, Brooklyn, recently which was until a few years ago a real no-go area but is now a real up and coming location with loads of decent bars and cafes, etc. Can't be too far away from Greenpoint tbh. Enjoy, man! Brooklyn rocks.

The Rangers are fun (if you can afford the tickets!), and it's much easier getting there, especially from Brooklyn. The atmosphere is very corporate and otherwise a bit muted, but the sport itself is exciting, especially live.

The NFL is the opposite - in person, it's considerably more boring than it is on television. The idle time-to-actually doing anything ratio really becomes apparent without the TV ads. It's more like watching a rehearsal of sport than watching sport itself.

Spent the last 10 days in Austin, Texas (insanely good city) and Las Vegas.

Met some amazing people in Austin and found it to be a fantastic city that combines offers so much more than just city life and exquisite food, namely the Barton Springs area and, a little further out, the Hamilton Pool Reserve (amazing) and Lake Travis, plus so much more. Loved it.

Brilliant to be in Vegas during the week when it's relatively quiet. Visited the Hoover Dam and the Grand Canyon today and the latter especially took my breath away. To think I was sceptical at first of the 50$ entrance fee...

Yes, I know it would be better to go to the South Rim but time way limited so just rented a car from Sin City and bombed there and back in one day.

Off to Mexico City tomorrow and am extremely excited to be in Mexico for the very first time.
