Almost time for the wife and I to head off for the usual two weeks at Mrs McShin's near Cape Wrath. It's a wild and unforgiving place. Next year we're splashing out for our ruby wedding - Iceland.

Actually, we are seriously going to Iceland and looking forward to it. Apparently the ladies smoke pipes. Mrs GT is keen to see the geysers.

Looking for ideas for a special celebration holiday in May next year. Current front-runner is three night in Singapore, Orient Express type train to Bangkok with three nights on board, two nights in and around Bangkok and 7 nights in Ko Samui with lots of itinerary in between.
Any suggestions on something else worth considering?

I'd recommend spending more time in Bangkok - it's a great city with plenty going on.

Been to Singapore a few times for work and it bores me senseless. Has no character (Starbucks everywhere though). All the natives told me to go to Kuala Lumpur.
