Going for a long weekend in Brussels/Bruges if anyone has any recommendations.

Was there for a few days a few years ago, but just kinda wandered around when I was there, so don't remember much specific. The 'Mannequin Pis' is pretty small and overrated. There's some nice bars and squares nearby tho I think (esp the Grand Square). And the area around the station is pretty trampy iirc.

I have just come back from Bratislava. It's lovely Would recommend for a short break.

Just had a week in Split, Havar and Brac in Croatia....stunning, couldn’t fault it in any shape or form.
Then 3 days work in Bilbao....drove to SAN Sebastian which was very smart, so will be taking a long weekend there at some point.

Off to Paris on Sat on the Eurostar. Must say I am rather looking forward to checking Marais out.

In the South of France at the moment, spent the past few days walking around the sights of Avignon, Nimes, Arles, Orange and Carcassonne, using their railway network to get around.

In many ways their society is both poorer and better than ours, or at least far less stressed.

Off to Bangkok and Pattaya in two weeks time for a week before permanently relocating to Beijing.
