Booked 3 nights in Vilnius and then a short flight over for 4 nights in Stockholm....in February. Best buy a new coat and some thermals.

Was there in January and it was - 16. I swear me kidneys were starting to freeze at one point. Go to the bar by the angel statue its boss and they brew their own ale. Its tiny but everyone knows eachother and has a good local vibe to it. Cant think if the name though.

Me and the wife booked New York for 4 nights next October. Can not wait to go, always wanted to go and now it’s time. Really wanted to go around Christmas time but due to work and nobody to have the kids, had to do October.
i was there late september.class city.loved it.alot of walking but use the subway as well great for getting around and easy to use.

Last year we spent Christmas in America, in Bristol, Tennessee, with my stepson, his American wife and their daughter. This year we're going earlier to spend Thanksgiving with them, plus their new baby son, in their new home.

I get the impression that Thanksgiving is a bigger deal than Christmas in America, unless that's just how it seems in films. It'll be interesting to find out first hand.

Hope you and your family have a Happy Thanksgiving! I would say Christmas is still a bigger deal here, but Thanksgiving is a very close 2nd. :)

Wife and I have a week planned in Sarawak (Malaysian Borneo) in late October. We're going to Bako National Park and to an orangutan sanctuary while there, but if anyone who has been to Kuching has any other suggestions, would be greatly appreciated.

.... Had a brilliant time. A week in Sarawak, four nights in Singapore, and four nights in the Gold Coast (Australia) on the way back home to New Zealand. Highly recommend Borneo for all the nature lovers out there. The national parks and biodiversity are amazing. Singapore, has always, a great city as well. It never ceases to amaze me how clean and efficient Singapore is. Clark Quay by the Singapore River a great place for a beer and dinner. Only problem is, Singapore is probably about the most expensive city I've been to in Asia. Sarawak / Borneo though, very cheap.

I'm a huge lover of anything to do with travelling and experiencing other countries. Part of my job enables me to travel which is a huge bonus for me. I've just started saving up to travel around the world in the next 5 years and was wondering what your absolute favourite place is that you've been too?
I miss Robertor.

Going to Thailand on Monday for first time. I'm travelling for 3 weeks on my own so any advice gratefully received.

I'm planning a couple days in Bangkok then up to Chang Mai before flying down to the islands to do some diving before going to Phuket.

I'll tag @Bungle in now to inevitably highlight the seedier options but any general itinerary advice or tips where to go or avoid would be helpful.

Sounds like you've got it sussed, that's pretty much the order I'd do things. Bit of a drive from Phuket but you could do Khao Sok National Park, there's a huge lake you can get taken out on and stay the night in these little floating huts. They catch and cook fish for your dinner etc. Ive done it twice and apart from snorkelling round reefs it was the best thing we did.

Going to Brussels/Bruges end of next month and I cannot wait.

If you have time, hire a Bike in Bruges and cycle into Holland if the weather isn't too baltic. We did it and stopped in a few nice pubs in the villages along the way. It's nice and flat so it was really easy and you get to see the windmills, nice scenery and the sleazy sex shops in Sluis on the Dutch side.

How far is that roughly? I’m not a seasoned pro for long distance bike rides.
