Been to all of them. They are all lovely. Podgorica is more of a modern city, while Mostar is a really, really beautiful city (especially the very popular bridge). I would definitely visit Sarajevo if I was on your place, the amount of tradition that city has, especially the very popular Bascarsija, is amazing. You've got to try some food specialities there, aswell. Budva and Kotor are pretty much same like Dubrovnik, but if you've never been there - it's just full of really interesting history, buildings and I am sure you'll enjoy it. Have fun visiting our Balkans! :D

Went Sarajevo with a few mates for a bit before. Loved the places and the locals were so friendly despite knowing very little English! Cheers for that mate, thinking of spending maybe 3-4 days in each place, that plenty of time? Will probably do hostels too as hotels are surprisingly quite expensive. Know anything of Albania? The country seems a bit of a mystery, which is intriguing.

Off to Poland on Saturday week, not even gone yet and already in early stages of planning my next trip. As me and my girlfriend absolutely loved Croatia so much in June, we're planning on going Eastern Europe again but this time to Montenegro and Bosnia. Ryanair to well cheap flights from Stanstead to Podgorica, from there we're going to travel down to Budva. Spend a few nights there before moving to Kotor for a while before finally moving onto Mostar in Bosnia. All three look like beautiful cities. Mostar especially. Depending on the prices for accommodation, we're considering maybe going to Albania aswell as i've heard good things.

Anyone been to any of them?
Been to Mostar and Kotor and highly recommend both. Had a great time in Mostar, really interesting place. Motor is like a mini version of Dubrovnik, a bit less full on and a really nice place. Highlight was climbing the walls to get a view of the bay. Haven't been recently to Albania but it's on the list. Coast there is meant to be amazing. Will keep an eye on this thread for your updates ;)

Ah I see, we visited Split never got to Dubrovnik. However, it's close enough to Mostar that i'm now considering doing a few days there and just fly home from Dubrovnik then! Mostar sounds lovely, as does Kotor. Don't really know much about Albania so that's a big doubt at the minute, seems the best areas are further South than i'd like to travel!

Got back today from 2 weeks in new zealand, really nice place. Crammed as much sightseeing into the 2 weeks as possible, highlights were huka falls, milford sound, otago peninsula and queenstown.

Did the nevis bungy jump at queenstown, scary stuff walking onto the platform but the adrenaline rush was amazing when i jumped.

Just back from New York and have had the holiday of a lifetime! So much to see and do! Feet are killing now but so worth it! Saw NYCFC at Yankee Stadium, Knicks at Madison Square Garden, went up Empire State Building and One World Trade, Statue of Liberty, hip hop tour, walked over Brooklyn Bridge, Guggenheim, other museums, the High Line and loads more! And got engaged on Top of the Rock!

If you've never been and get the chance - go! They even have some decent beers and pubs if you look around!

congrats mate, sounds like an ace trip

Thanks! Just awesome! Still probably loads we didn't get to do but just the best holiday ever. Shame both NY teams lost though they sure know how to entertain the crowd out there!
hip hop tour sounds good, think I'd probs do the sopranos tour if they still have that

I was in Lisbon in September. Beautiful city, so much to do and unbelievably cheap.

Went to Vienna in March which was also lovely, great weather

Looking at Andalucia for a bit of travelling in March then Malaysia/Singapore in the late summer/autumn

We went to a restaurant called Peter Lugers in Williamsburg as it's always in Sopranos apparently. The hip hop tour was hosted by Grandmaster Caz (admittedly I'd not heard of him) who was a fairly big name from the early years of hip hop and was in Cold Crush brothers.

Sounds great mate, what a way to end your life. My condolences about the engagement.
