Off to Riga (Latvia) in mid December for 5 nights. Anyone been?
I love travelling but haven't got the money to travel the world so I set myself a target of visiting every European capital last year. Been to London, Rome, Budapest, Prague so far and got Riga in December. Not really a fan of doing the quick visit on a train thing that has became quite popular, I prefer to spend a decent amount of time in each city.
Budapest is probably my favourite place out of them all. I went in Late January last year, freezing like but it adds to the experience for me. Found it mad how peaceful it was past about 7pm in all the main areas even on a weekend. Such a difference to a big city in other European city's.

Most people seem to go to Vilnius, Riga and Tallinn at the same time. Might visit one of them seeings I'm there for 5 days, depends how interesting it is!

Got tickets for two group games at Lens, one at 3pm, one at 9pm. For the latter, I have reserved a upmarket shack on booking.com, about 20 miles away, nothing closer available.
I haven't got any accommodation booked as of yet. Will likely just go for a cheapish hotel with breakfast in a fairly central area. Usually does the job!
Nice one anyway, I'll keep what you've said in mind if I get bored in Riga after a couple of days.
