Brilliant! It's a must see. You'll absolutely love it.

Ive heard it's off the Richter scale. Not sure about ticket prospects, but more than happy to pay for a premium seat in the main stand so hopefully there'll be a few left when I get to the city the day before.

I'm really looking forward to the entire holiday. Morocco looks fascinating, and I'm there for 3 weeks so hopefully get a good look around the main spots.

It's about a 70,000 seater stadium so you should be alright. It's a beautiful country, guarantee you'll not want to leave!

Just booked New York with my wife, brother and sister in law. Been all over the place but still never been to New York, ridiculously excited! Going on 27/12 until 07/01. Any recommendations?

Best city I've ever been to.

I won't recommend anything though mate. The beauty of the place is exploring and finding your own little places and things.

You'll have an awesome awesome time.

I've visited my parents there multiple times a year for the last 12 years but I still do not know the city well enough to be a complete guide. Don't try to go for the fanciest restaurants, the ones that look older and less gaudy usually have the best food. Especially when it comes to Italian.

Been up and down the Adriatic recently, so here's my review:

Venice - it's a great city and everybody should visit it once. However, the first time you go it's great, unique and so different, but the 2nd, 3rd and 4th trips you find yourself annoyed with it. There's a reason nobody builds cities in a lagoon, it's a logistical nightmare. They need to Tarmac that grand canal.

Kotor/Budva - Think Dubrovnik but without all the tourists. Montenegro is what Croatia was 15 years ago.

Corfu - Very Italian like.

Athens - grimey but worth a visit. Considering they have no money all the public parks are well maintained.

Mykonos - Expensive, similar to Santorini but without the good view or volcano.

Kefalonia - gorgeous island. Very different from the Cyclades.

Manchester - dump.

Driving to Barcelona in a week and a bit via Andorra.

Any tips from anyone who's been? Places to go, things to do and all that.

I'm sure there's been plenty of posts and threads on Barcelona before, but all the Gaudi stuff is worth seeing, Tibidaboo is cool, Montjuic as well. Camp Nou obvs. I'm sure there's some pretty cool Roman ruins nearby if you're into that kinda thing, but that may have been somewhere else. They've got quite a good aquarium, though not sure if it's any better than any half decent one you may have been to. Loads of churches, (Irish) bars etc. Don't know much about the nightlife, which is weird as I was on a Stag there last year!

definitely definitely go to the Highline. It's a park as such which is elevated above the streets as its an old train line

Went on this in April. Was pretty cool, and free ;) Also defo check out Central Park while you're there, as it's especially beautiful in winter when everything is covered in snow.

Going to Prague at the start of November. Any tips? Besides usual -places to visit, things to do-, would also like to get a party-club recommendation from someone younger, if possible. Will be there for 5 days.

I'm sure you've researched loads of obvious places to go to like Prague Castle, Old Town Square, Wenceslas Square, Charles Bridge etc.

Here are some things we've done on our 10 trips to Prague,
Petrin Tower - great views of the city and a short walk to the Strahov Stadium (worlds largest stadium),
Strahov Brewery - microbrewery and great food,
Vitkov Memorial in Zizkov - bit of an uphill hike, but worth it for the views,
TV tower in Zizkov - unusual and interesting structure built when the communists were in power, great views (combine this with Vitkov),
Museum of Communism - gives you a bit of insight into this city during occupation,
Vysehrad - Prague's other castle, often overlooked,
Travel round all of the football stadia by tram/metro, did Sparta/Slavia/Bohemians/Viktoria Zizkov and the Strahov in a morning,
3 day travel pass - just jump on and off trams and metro at various stops and wander, remember to stamp ticket in the yellow machines before first journey, hefty fine if you don't.
Avoid British/Irish pubs - you'll get much better beer much cheaper if you go to local bars.
Can't help with the clubs I'm afraid as I've never gone to a club there...enjoy yer trip.

Popping into Trailfinders in the morning to sort out next years holiday, done this a few years back and they were superb and cheaper as they combine it as a package holiday

Heading out to:
San Diego
San Francisco
Vancouver Island
Vancouver

Got friends in San Diego so great to see them, Love San Fransisco but guess the Whale watching and grizzly bear watching will be my favourite

Same! We are going 24th October! Can't wait! Booked to see New York Knicks at Maddison Square Garden and New York City FC at Yankee Stadium (mainly to see Pirlo!). Also going on a Hush Tours trip around Brooklyn to see hip hop sites etc! Not sure how keen the mrs is but never mind!

Anyone looking to go to a boss place they've never envisaged themselves being able to go to because of extortionate prices, I'd recommend going to travelbag.com. Used it to book New York in December and you get flights and a hotel included.

Myself and my brother are looking on going to a couple of sporting events, let me know any tips for good places to go when you've been!

I will do. Though one thing I will say is we have been told tickets for basketball sell pretty quick and if you leave it until the day it'll cost a fair whack! I think ours were over £100 each and that was a month or so ago.

The footie is pretty cheap to be fair (about £30?).
