off to barcelona in march for a long weekend, and going to take the barca v valencia match in. never been to barca so not yet been in nou camp. already looking forward to it.

Barcelona is ace, been there 3/4 times now. Have you got the rest of your time planned out? The museum at Camp Nou is really good too, I spent a whole afternoon in there on two occasions, and you can also get round to one of their practice pitches, so you might catch some of them training there if you're lucky, and you can get pretty close to them, as the fences were only a few yards from the side of the pitch when I went.

Probably wet, but nice and warm if you get a sunny day.

Both Bilbao and San Sebastian are fantastic for a short break. Brilliant food, bars, loads to see and very friendly locals.

Looks like you could do a nice little tour there, from Bilbao up to Bordeaux (or vice-versa) via San Sebastian, Biarritz/Bayonne and the Parc naturel régional des Landes de Gascogne.

Definitely, the whole region is fantastic, would recommend it to anyone.

My missus is Thai so have been fortunate to have travelled all over the place, plus cambodia.

I went to Chiang Mai in March, absolutely loved it. We went during songkran which is basically a city wide water fight for 3 days. As it was 42 degrees every day I was more than happy to join in.
Ended up going to a 3d art gallery, highly recommend it
