The Vincent Kompany amnesty thread

Be interesting to know their thinking, Tuchel was a massive failure but the lack of planning for his departure is crazy. I wonder if they feel that Kompany's methods will be effective when he has the best players (like in the championship), he is without question a great leader.

Do you think Burnley will try and get a coach with similar playing principles, or will they be a bit more pragmatic and mix things up?

I guess the fans would prefer the latter.
Not sure mate.

Personally I think that the board need to bring in someone that's been there and seen it all to learn from them, because they're a bit wet behind the ears.

Kompany was entrusted with far too much of the footballing operation; we have properly leaned out multiple departments and doing stuff like utilising his part-owned data analytics company for player profiling/scouting, whilst standing down all first team scouts.

Moyes if he'd come would be my number one, failing that Cooper... But if the board opts for another young manager then I believe they need to have some senior, proper footballing men throughout the backroom, or at least as the new guys assistant.

I'd rather have Sean Dyche than him. Imagine that!
They be doing route marches through the Bavarian Alps, sleeping out on hillsides etc.

Didnt do anything at Anderlecht either.
Now, managing Bayern is like leading the school bullies to a playground victory against the computerclub.
He might win a championship.

Will Dyche be in the running for the Madrid job now?
Apparently he did quite well and is well liked at Anderlecht - got a cup and a 3rd and 4th finish, which they didn't have for a few years (were middle of the pack for the few years before him) until him and just now have a 2nd place finish in their regular league thing.

The rest though - Germany's not as easy as people make it out, even for Bayern.

You might be able to tempt Moyes if he's still available after the latest PL game if musical chairs.

I think his family still live just outside Preston so it's an easy commute for him.

He'd certainly be able to manage the inexperienced board above.

Mental all these managers like Kompany, Mkenna, Maresca being linked to big clubs, yet surprising nobody ever has Dyche in their shortlist.

He's better then any choice on Chelsea's potential list, and he's had a hell of a season with the hand he's been dealt with, comfortably survived a points deduction and shtshow behind the scenes.

Such an underrated manager.

lol

He's just Allardyce. Were you advocating the likes of Chelsea etc. going for him when he was in the PL?

Personally I blame short form content/social media/Pep Guardiola.

Winning should be the only thing that matters. Not 'trying to play football the right way' - whatever that means.

Also, going off that, after watching your games against us this year, do you think 'we played football the right way' or do you think w were lightweight, pony and got dispatched of easily?

City/Guardiola teams aren't even exciting to watch. He's a defence first manager that likes to control games by strangling the opposition. City are boring to watch.

And to think some people thought I was barking for suggesting Roberto could land a job at an elite club.

The world's gone mad when German efficiency gets ditched for a stunt that we'd see tried in the ridiculous EPL.
