Re-watched it all recently, still superb and definitely the best show going.

Another possible series or spin off could have been done around marlo stanfield. He got out of the life, but couldn’t stay out. Would have been interesting to see if he could reclaim his ‘empire’

He was so happy to be back on the streets. Would have liked to seen him and Avon properly fighting instead of Avon looking like a doofus in the previous series.

But watching James Galdofini, as Tony S will never get old.
Paulie Walnuts also possibly the funniest supporting character ever created for a TV series.

Recently rewatched all 5 series. Still is incredible viewing and makes a change watching something so well produced and written compared to hundreds of forgettable series that I’ve seen recently.
That been said, it noticeably falls away a bit at the end. People don’t like the docks series but this holds up well as one of the best IMO. Thought the brother Mouzone stuff was the weakest story line alongside the dumb homeless serial killer thing at the end.

Best series in order 1-2-4-5-3

Best 5 characters: Bunny, Avon, Bodie, Bubbles, Frank Sobotka.

Worst 5: Brother Mouzone, carcetti, Cheese, Prop Joe, Herc.

Favourite scene: Daniels facing down Burrell in series one.

Prop Joe in the worst characters? No way.

I have it 2-4-1-3-5. You can go 1-4 in any order imo. 5 falls a little flat because it is a bit too absurd and the newspaper isn't as developed as other facets of the show but it is still great TV. The last episode is fantastic as well so it does finish strong.

My wife went to a singing competition in Baltimore and they were told on no account to leave the main tourist area or go down any side streets.

It's a wild city, some very nice areas that are two blocks away from some of the poorest in the developed world. You can lose your way rapidly if you don't know where you're going.

Loved both the Sopranos and the Wire, but the Wire is by far the better show - better acting, storylines and far more accurate about human nature and the way that any organization tends to degenerate over time.

It is also much better to re-watch as there are so many bits (Rawls being gay / Stringer being an idiot) that were missed the first time around.

Oh, no doubt.

Always looked wet when dealing with Avon and Stringer but had to change when addressing the cornerboys.

Was a well written and acted character in the first season.
