But you've missed the key point there.

He was playing for one of the most attacking sides in the league - not something you could level at Everton very often - and only managed to get into double figures twice in the league.

Your example is a bit daft, particularly as you admit An Everton Player managed 7 times in the same period what Walcott only managed twice .....

Fellaini, not on penalties

Saha, not on penalties

And I would think for Yakubu / Lukaku they would have shared them with Arteta / Baines etc etc
This is key to my whole debate about signing him! I’m not over the moon or unhappy just very sceptical about his impact playing in this team under this manager

Interestingly enough, I think he will have been sold the move under the auspices that he would get to play centrally more often. Maybe we will finally see two up front

Where it may be a very shrewd signing is that, if he genuinely wants to go to the World Cup, he is going to have to be fantastic in the next 6 months.

Get your point Banno mate just can't see the end to the farce

Just go along with what we are trying to do and look for positives. There are always a few positives and it will give your mind a refreshing outlook rather than getting sucked in towards twisted bitterness and hatred to all things Everton. I admit the negatives are far outweighing the positives but the positives will make you more sane. When you start taking glee out of ripping your supported club apart that is when you have lost it and your face distorts and a frothy dribble oozes from the mouth then you start hating fellow blues for having a positive opinion. It then becomes arguing for arguments sake. Grab a positive before you drown in the negativity that some GOT posters are already lost to. You still have a chance. lol

In 15 games... 5-7 goals plus showing us obvious signs of improvement in attack and causing teams to sit deeper. Not arsed about assists, as most times they could be anything from taking on nine players and setting the striker up for a sitter, to getting a lucky toey onto a ball which somehow makes its way through to the attacker who then does an outrageous piece of skill to slot home.
Yeah feel the same about assists really look at say Dele Alli his will be high because of the goal machine he has in front of him.

Sigurdsson must play the number 10 role if Walcott plays as a striker

About the best available player proven to score goals in the Premier League. At 28 many would say that is prime age and he still has something to prove having been in and out of the squad at Arsenal.

In fairness, I think people are right to be concerned. We should be signing younger players with decent resale value. Bolasie and Sigurdsson were both expensive signings and are both at an awkward age were their resale value will be terrible - Walcott will be the same. I know it's not my money, but we seem to be panic buying for the short term with no real plan.
Bugger resale value. I like football not accounts.

Agreed, but to me this season was a write off anyway. I would like to take this opportunity to stay optimistic and say that he will be here next season with hopefully a more balanced manager with further additions to the squad. I appreciate that there will be yet another period of players gelling, but hopefully next season will be somewhat more exciting.

Pure comedy. Do you not yet understand Jack were in with the likes of Stoke, West Ham, Bournmouth? Everton are going nowhere mate.

Fully aware of that but the point I am missing is how you suggest we pull out of that group?

We can’t just go and buy players that the top 4 are competing with us for.

So to summarise a lot of this forum at the moment..

We’re not spending enough money on players, but we’ve spent £20m on a player but he’s basically a pensioner so it’s a waste of money. We need more goal scorers but Walcott only scores at a better rate from the wing than all of our other options, which isn’t good enough apparently. The players we’re signing are too old even though we’re crying out for proven players with experience. According to a lot of people on here we apparently need to sign players under the age of 28 for low prices who are proven players at this level and who will score lots of goals and are also players for the future.

Easy that. Sort it Walsh you bad tit. Also get Ronaldo.

:drunk:

You forgot, no cast-offs from top teams either, and only players who are also wanted by all the other top teams, but they need to decide to come to us.

and we are trying to rectify that with signing decent players in Tosun and Walcott but the criticism is still flooding in. Don't mind some criticism but on here it's beyond belief and done just for the sake of it.
Tosun had 20 good minutes, Walcott is yet to be proven. Allow me to comment on the current situation, and not on the triump's of tomorrow. Since im no expert on the future
