medically and legally 'mentally ill' is different

I hope they made the right decision with this one.

Who knows what's happened. Yes we have to trust the system to get it right, but sometines they dont and this case has been extraordinary in terms of the media coverage oprior to the trial.

2 murders were unanimously guilty, 5 majority guilty. Don’t know what it was with the attempted murder guilty verdicts

A summary from the Czech Republic - as it's only just headlined here. A nurse, who seemed wholly unremarkable, has been found guilty of murdering seven children and the attempted murder of a further six making her the worst serial killer in recent British history.

The babies were in neo-natal care as premature births, described by one doctor who tried to raise alarms as "the safest place on Earth". I haven't read the full details of how Letby murdered the children, I've seen a couple of cases where she injected air into their veins.

Compounding the horror of the seemingly motiveless crimes, the first alarm was raised by a neonatal specialist after three suspicious deaths, later found to be murders and an additional attempted murder by Letby.

One survivor is a child born 15 weeks early, weighing just over 450g - Letby attempted to murder her three times over the course of three weeks. The child, now eight is severely disabled as a result of the attacks.

High profile case. Lots of media coverage. You know the rest. Remember how the Sunday Mirror collapsed the trial against the Leeds yobs, Woodgate and Bowyer? I'm glad the paper was held to account for that - oh hang on....

UK media is, always has been, and always will be absolute trash. To make it worse it's driven people to get their "news" from Social Media... I give up... COYB!
