This nurse Letby case

The current situation might be the least worst. How would those on trial be forced to attend verdicts? beat em up? sedate them? gun point? What if they just shout for hours through it? Threats abuse and worse.
A very worrying topic has again reared it's head - Andrew Malkinson was found guilty of rape - wrongly. Once upon a time he'd have been executed, and his blood on the hands of the state, and those that fit him up.

Add more time onto their sentence.

Some unbelievable stuff now coming out, a few more NHS careers should be over by close of play today
It's unlikely to happen for numerous reasons (burden of proof being one), but if bosses knowingly ignored multiple warnings then they should face a jury.

As others have said, now the reporting restrictions have been released there's going to be some harrowing details coming out, including supposed trophies she kept.

How much violence are you happy with doled out dragging individuals to verdicts? Would you like the verdict secretly known first so no bones get broken or no teeth get knocked out for those that'll come in not guilty? Similarly those on for a guilty can have a little extra violence? Obviously the state will have to train and pay regional ninja squads just for this purpose. Maybe even televise it? Sponsored by 'Fat Terry's knuckle dusters', "punching power we can all enjoy...."

Madness.

I’m sure you’d change your tune if your child had been murdered.

As I say, if transferred from one prison to another, they don’t get a choice whether they want to go or not. They will be physically moved. In the not too distant past murderers would be ‘escorted’ into court by half a dozen uniformed personnel to hear the judgement…..

It’s okay, as Dave thinks it’s a state and media sponsored conspiracy to stitch her up.

Dave likes to play devil's advocate - we all know that. Usually I rise above it, but a case like this is one of those things which should be out of bounds.

It's one of those cases that really gets you deep inside: she took an oath to protect people, and turned totally against it to murder and hurt defenceless children.

Who knows her motives, but from the evidence she did it methodically and in a way that showed a determination to cover her tracks and continue on murdering.

Let's not beat around the bush - she's a serial killer akin to Brady, the West etc. From what I've been told, there'll likely be at least a few more charges facing her.

That's not law, that's not justice, that's not civilisation. Andrew Malkinson case - how does the rape victim feel now that the wrong man took the fall and the guilty party got off scott free to potentially offend again. As much as we like it or not, a part of the judicial system is the rehabilitation and reform of individuals that have been found to have commit a variety of crime/s.

The justice system is also there first and foremost, to protect the public from monsters like Letby.

If there was going to be a unanimous verdict they'd have reached it prior to being instructed to find a majority verdict.

This has miscarriage of justice written all over it. I'd be staggered if the defence team dont ask for a re-trail given the preposterous level of half truths and lies the prosecution witnesses originally told the authorities prior to giving evidence in court.
We will have to disagree on this. Yes there were massive failures by hospital managers in that refused to listen to consultants but to paint this woman as a victim is way off the mark
