I think Tuchel would be a great appointment, but can't see him coming to us at all. Maybe if big Farhad gets incredibly generous with the chequebook but still wildly unlikely.

I'm sure koeman was in the top ten of best paid managers in world football and with no compensation for tunchel money would not be a problem I wouldn't have thought

Dortmund fan I know on another forum reckons he is an absolute mentalist who will without question fall out with multiple players within a season.

Sorry for my English - I just signed up in order to write a comment on Tuchel.

I`ve watched his Mainz side for 4 years and later Dortmund during his reign. Not once did I have the impression that the players were playing "against him". In fact his teams reached the clubs` objectives every single season he was in charge of them - and usually overachieved. At the end of his time at Dortmund the club launched a media offensive against him in order to discredit him in the eyes of the Dortmund fans, because otherwise they wouldn`t have understood why they got rid of him. The problem at Dortmund was that certain players with a big name (because of things they`ve achieved 4 or 5 years ago) were treated the same way as 17 year-olds from their youth academy. IMO that is one of his strengths. Everybody had to earn his spot - and some well-established players didn`t like this. Players like Pulisic, Dembele, Aubameyang, Mikhytarian, etc loved Tuchel - others like Sahin, Schmelzer, Reus didn`t.

IMO Tuchel is a far better coach than Klopp - but he is not the type a guy who will fully embrace a club`s identity/fans/culture etc. He is only focused on his job.
