Think we’re living in a cloud cuckoo land if we think he’s going to want to join us. He’s suposedly interested in the Bayern job after Heynckes retires. I’m sure other big clubs have him o their radar as well.

Not really sure what we offer beyond a big pay cheque.

I do agree.

But its not a big pay cheque, its a MASSIVE pay cheque, sure he could attract teams that can dwarf our wages, but our biggest selling point is the "fallen giants on its arse", he might fancy the "project", I currently consider us having a 5% chance of attracting him, but I will cling to that 5% for now.

Every manager? Nope just one vastly overrated manager who’s walked out on every club he’s ever managed.

He didn't walk out on Ausburg he saw a one year contract out with them
He didn't walk on Mainz - he saw out his 5 contractual years
He didn't walk on Dortmund - he was sacked by their CEO due to a conflict between the two men

Struggling to look past Tommy T currently Van Orly Hassen Frandelino.

I realise hes very much pie in the sky, but nobody else peaks my interest atm, of course other names will enter the fray, but from the names mentioned the only 2 I would have are Tommy T and Unsworth, I would honestly give the job to Duncan than appoint some utter shitter like Dyche or Howe.

Tuchel would come here mate, make no mistake.

It's the Prem, Goat. The money and the glory and the fact that it's the league of super-managers at the moment.

That's the draw. That's what we have to sell (to any prospective 'big name' manager if that's the way we go).

Plus, the Hoffenheim boss is the one Bayern's chiefs are set on - though it seems there's some internal difference of opinion on whether he's too young to take over (a bit like AVB at Chelsea).

How is Klopp much better, Tuchels first season at Dortmund he got more points than when Klopp first won the league - just that Bayern the last few years are far far better than they where when Klopp won the league.

He won the cup at first time of asking, Klopp failed how many cups in a row now - 5 or 6?

Klopp got Mainz promoted, then relegated, then failed to gain promotion, Tuchel kept them mid table to top 5 and qualified for Europe

Klopp finished out the top 4 on three occasions in 7 seasons at Dortmund including 7th his last season, Tuchel finished 2nd and 3rd in two seasons.
Klopp won titles and got to champions league finals.

It'd be a tough sell, but doable.
  • Easily double, triple whatever wage he was on at Dortmund
  • Money to spend in Jan
  • New Stadium on the horizon
  • Chance to face off against Klopp
  • After getting this season out of the way, ambitions to become a top 4 club
I don't even think it would be as a hard a sell as some might think. Let's be honest he's not getting the job at any of last season's top 6 any time soon so if he wants to manage in the Premier League then we're his best bet.
