Simple do what Bill says and get paidCan anyone explain to me what is the role of senior executive?
And folks are happy with this appointment?Simple do what Bill says and get paid
Sporting DirectorAccording to that article, he is on the board of KAS Eupen - a Belgium top division team.
Kevin Langley as manager with Paul Power as assistant. If we are going to stuff the club with former players, can we please just appoint people who, you know, actually won things?
Cahill is another Kenwright lackey. What did he win? What did Baines win? Unsworth and Ferguson are still dining out on a single cup win over quarter of a century ago. Even our winners, people like Sharp, seem to be contaminated by Kenwright's sentimental snake oil.
They tickle the balls and work the shaft at the same time. Can anyone explain to me what is the role of senior executive?
He's played all over the world.
He's huge in Qatar and UAE. Key member of the academy networks set up over there.
He's on a board in Europe.
He's done all his coaching qualification.
He's probably one of the most qualified we could get.
[/QUOTE]What experience have any of those people got? . Get qualified people into the club. No wonder the club never make progress. We just go round and round in circles creating jobs for Ex players [ QUOTE="Zatara, post: 9356572, member: 9780"]
In theory if we had:
Cahill (Sporting Director)
Rooney (Manager)
Ferguson (First team coach)
Baines (First team coach)
Carsley (First team coach)
Unsworth (Head of Academy)
Its actually:
2 forwards
2 midfielders
2 defenders
Bit of pointless, useless information there lol
Id just be thrilled with Cahill as SD.

What makes you think he would have any interest in doing this anyway!? There has to be more to the roleRumours now emerging that Everton might be looking at bringing Tim Cahill back into the fold, apparently as a 'senior executive': https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/f...-fan-favourite-option-executive-position.html
What are people's thoughts on this? I think this could actually prove to be a shrewd move, whether it's Cahill or another former pro who's at a similar stage to him. I haven't always been Cahill's biggest fan since he left us (absolutely loved him as a player) because he came across as very 'brand focused' on his social media platforms but he seems to have really knuckled down in the last few years and appears to be really progressing.
If it happens, I wonder what kind of role he would be given. If I had to predict anything, I think he could possibly work under DBB with a view to replacing her as she is apparently considering her options. This would be a good move for him, the last thing he needs is to come here and be given ridiculously trivial jobs like giving Goodison tours or anything. 6 months to get your feet under the table and then bang, you're in the top job.
This is certainly out of left field, but it's interesting and I think it could be quite innovative.
