Tim Cahill - an Everton executive?

I think the CEO position needs to be a proper position mate, that drives revenue.

Not really. You can have a chairman (title only) along with a CEO who has key people under them. That may be a marketing director, sporting director or suchlike.

In the endgame i would see her more as an administrator sitting above those people.

If not already mentioned. Cahill was at the game yesterday

Yeah i posted this earlier but hadnt read that post.

He makes a suggestion for:

Sporting Director -- Tim Cahill
Manager -- Wayne Rooney
Coach -- Lee Carsley

I wonder if Carsley may be better suited to doing Unsworths job.

Whatever happens needs sorting Tuesday at the latest.

If we can get Cahill in pronto i'll be very happy.

For the manager, if they want Rooney or Lampard then just go and get them.

But if its someone other than those two in the frame then i think we need to be a bit careful and take our time.

Agree with that.

I don't think Rooney is as close as people think though. He's not been interviewed while Lampard is apparently having another one.

Just get them in asap.

Why would he want to trade Englands job for doing the same job at Everton?

Not sure if there's anything concrete with Carsley yet but I wouldn't be against him joining either

If we are going to stuff the club with former players, can we please just appoint people who, you know, actually won things?

Cahill is another Kenwright lackey. What did he win? What did Baines win? Unsworth and Ferguson are still dining out on a single cup win over quarter of a century ago. Even our winners, people like Sharp, seem to be contaminated by Kenwright's sentimental snake oil.

In theory if we had:

Cahill (Sporting Director)
Rooney (Manager)
Ferguson (First team coach)
Baines (First team coach)
Carsley (First team coach)
Unsworth (Head of Academy)

Its actually:
2 forwards
2 midfielders
2 defenders

Bit of pointless, useless information there lol

Id just be thrilled with Cahill as SD.

Haha see what you were trying do. I mean I don't rate Unsworth and its an in experienced set up but , it has to be better than some journey man

I dont think Unsworth and many youth coaches would last long if Cahill was in charge.
Let's hope so but the benitez approach of rip everything out at once will not work .

You get the best out of what you have , put a plan and structure in place to improve piece by piece.

It can still be done relatively fast but leaving yourself short and exposed with no experience to help guide you is asking for trouble.

Your post makes no sense, sharp won plenty but should not have been given a job whereas Cahill didn't and he is much more qualified

I was watching The Australian Celebrity Apprentice and one of the tasks had the contestants doing a job in a waxwork museum in Sydney and one of the very popular waxworks on display was none other than Tim Cahill.

So there is that.
