Tim Cahill - an Everton executive?

Can’t see BK ever sanctioning the employment of a proper business football professional. The only time he ever did was Trevor Birch and that lasted just a few weeks

I think the whole jobs for the boys schtick doesnt make sense really.

Cahill has been successful on 4 different continents. He now runs a football club, and academy very successfully. He has gone to Harvard university, the top university in tbe world, and got a degree in business from there. The idea he cant improve what we currently have at board level is insulting.

I think we have to move beyond this idea that just because you have played for the club, that defines someone and makes them bad. Was Royle jobs for the boys? Or Kendall? Or Catterick?

Doing a 4 day course at Harvard isn’t a degree. It’s a paid for course. You do know these exist right?

Teaching kids in Qatar or writing a series of kids books doesn’t qualify you for an executive role.

Strange one that, he came in had a look around and walked. If I remember it was around the time of the Rooney sale he obviously wasn't impressed by something at the club. He only lasted a few days and there was never a proper explanation.

I dont know what you mean about writing a series of kids books mate.

That's not his role at Aspure academy, is it?

Definitely does point to recruitment.

But, isnt Unsworth now Academy Director or something?

Aside from players bought at 18+ the only 2 to have come through in a decade are Gordon and Davies...that has to be on someone.
Unsworth's position should have been untenable years ago. As with Ferguson, the more we go on the managerial / DOF merry-go-round, the more likely is that someone will see the obvious sooner or later.
