I was just reading an espn article on us keeping Howard and they mentioned the fair play table was still within our grasp. Without derailing the thread, what's the word on this?

At no point in this article does it suggest that Martinez specifically wants a 'new' No 1 as you suggested earlier.

It clearly says that with Howard out for a lengthy period and with Joel deputising, after that we only have youngsters and thats not really an option at this stage of the season (the scenario we found ourselves in in the league).

He wants someone to challenge Howard long term, not sit on the bench for 6 weeks behind Joel. That says to me that, with Howard being 36 years old, that he wanted to sign a new goalkeeper to eventually replace Howard in the near future

Because GOT has voted Tim as our most crap player by a landslide, goalkeeper is our number one priority, we cannot keep starting with a 15 point deficit

Robles role should be as No 1 immediately, placing Timmy in the bin, and competing with the new goalkeeper when he arrives

And explain how at that angle with 3 players to go through he's supposed to do that? Physically it doesn't add up. Watch it again if you cant tell that what your asking is just not realistic. It's impossible to ask that he punch this out for a corner...
