I'm definitely willing to see how he's playing at the start of the season and judge then, but last years standard isn't good enough... especially when Robles looked quite good after a run of games.

As a whole he under-performed last season.. he also had a few fantastic games.
Same could be said for pretty much our entire team. He's been with us for 8 seasons, deserves a chance (if he wants it) to prove he is still good enough that's all. If he starts with a few rubbish performances he should be dropped that's all I'm saying. (Wasn't defending his poor performances last year)
Tipping Howard to have an Indian summer next season. Think he'd do a job for the Delhi Dynamos.

I don't like his arrogance. He was clearly playing poor at the start of the season and didn't man up to his mistakes. Told the critics to shove it. He could easily have taken responsibility and moved on. One good game in the world in return for a whole season of [Poor language removed].
Good servant but to contract him till 39 years old was ludicrous! - Robles needs a run pre season or sign another Keeper if he is dodgy!

Stil think that Martinez is a bit scared to lose the dressing room by upsetting veteran players personally, the handling of Distin also shows he isn't very good at changing the guard so to speak.
Howard, Hibbert, Gibson (apparently) all getting extensions, the signing of Barry to a long term deal as well as constantly stressing the importance of both Osman and Peanuts all point to someone whose confidence at changing the older players importance in the team or moving them on isn't their.
