TIM HOWARD THOUGH

The Arsenal fans that watch this fella on a week to week basis all comment on how his positional play is poor and his decision making isn't up to scratch either. I think i'd rather take their word for it than yours ( no offence ).

So by going on the comments of Ospina's actual club fans reviews of him and your views on our own keeper, we're pretty much like for like. The only way we are going to upgrade on Tim Howard is by spending a decent chunk of change in my opinion. As is the case with Everton Football Club, that decent chunk of change is in short supply and currently we have other area's of our first team that are in desperate need of upgrade before that position.

As has been said, yes he didn't have the best of seasons last year, but then who did ? He does need replacing but now isn't the time for it. What is interesting is that you actually want to bring in another goalkeeper. Which says a lot about the confidence you have in your Everton # 1 and actual # 2, Joel Robles.
They all comment on it do they mate, didn't know you spoke to every single Arsenal fan.

You talk a lot but mostly use fillers, and your points raised are poor.

Howard is absolutely crap, his positional sense is crap, his shot saving ability for the most part is crap, and he negatively affected us last season, he is at a age where you just can go crap.

he wasn't very good to begin with and his decline has been quick.

If you actually think he's good enough for everton then fair enough, but i'm glad i don't have your mind set.

He should be closer to the X, no need to be that far out when the ball is crossed from the angle it was.

If your getting lobbed at the near post when the ball is just over 6 yards out and crossed from close you're doing it wrong.

In terms of left to right, he's fine. He's just a yard or 2 too far out, and in a situation like that thats poor.

You can't even answer him haha. What a load of tripe
I just did answer him, i think you're very blinkered.

His positional sense for the save was poor, he had to back track because of it.

Is your helper around, i'm not sure they should be letting you on forums like this.

Do you go the games lad?

Everyone screams at him, come and get the ball? How's he going to do that a yard off his line?

That's unfair freezing it there and planting an X without showing the whole build up and cross. There was clearly nothing wrong with his position, but there was awful defending and a great volley and save.

Why (not yourself here because I've not seen you as a constant Howard hater) people can't give our players any credit when they do something spectacular I'll never understand. Look at @AaronTheBlue and @ijjysmith desperate not to have to admit everything he does is all bad they're making fools of themselves about a save as outstanding as that.

It's sad really, just a little bit of credit here and there may show how they're impartial and not obsessed about Howard.

OK but only because I'm bored in work. Here he is closer to your 'x', 95% of the goal is free and there are 0 defenders in front of it. His positioning was fine and his save was world class, can't argue with some of the clangers iggy posted but this was world class

Infact, if he's there and the striker goes far post and scores, loads on here would complain about him not closing the angles quick enough
