ha, you don't get it mate. when people blame howard, they're not saying he's the only one to blame we'll ignore everyone else's mistakes. this is a tim howard thread, they're just highlighting his mistake again. he made 4 or 5 tonight it must be said. i only remember that one comfortable save from range he had to make. 2 shots on target 1 conceded, keeping up with his average and he was again at fault. the cross in the second minuter when he palmed it away straight through the box could have fallen to any of their players. it was a simple catch to make. even the save he made he had enough time to get his body behind and catch instead of diving and palming away from a corner. then there was when jags headed the ball up in the air 8 yards out and he stood rooted to his line having to watch a header fly past him and into the side net. he was pretty terrible in a match where he's had nothing difficult to do again.
I don't recall Gerrard getting the sheer amount of years that Timmy No Arms has had to prove his inabilityI think Paul Gerrard is the " best worse goalie " I have ever seen.
That would suit TH as he seldom catches anything not even a virus!lolIn all fairness tonight's conditions where not conducive to trying to catch everything.
Is anyone in the Garbutt thread decrying how he lets the cross in easy?..or the Alcaraz thread saying he should have left the header, just like half off goodison heard?...or the Barkley thread on how his man lost him like a toddler in the supermarket? ...or the McCarthy thread about him leaving the near post unguarded?
No their not are they! yet again the sole responsibility gets placed on Howard and everything else gets ignored. That's what you clearly don't understand, the need for a scapegoat.
Don't blame him for the goal, great finish. Problem ( and it's as clear as day ) is NO ONE trusts him in defence. He comes rushing out when he doesn't need to, stands on his line when he should be coming out. Basically his decision making has gone to shyt. He's causing a lot of issues at the back because of this but hey, can't blame him because the manager picks him.
and AmericanSpot on, their goal wasn't his fault, but he was poor tonight, again.

Accident of birth, can't blame him for that.and American
He was accident prone even then ?Accident of birth, can't blame him for that.
Actually Doug, a few have said that Garbutt is lacking in the defensive side in his game. The thing about Garbutt is, he's not the first name on the teamsheet, he'll be dropped as soon as Baines comes back, and rightfully so. Howard is our number one, apparently.
No, I blame the parents, but that's another story. He was accident prone even then ?
