TIM HOWARD THOUGH

Is anyone in the Garbutt thread decrying how he lets the cross in easy?..or the Alcaraz thread saying he should have left the header, just like half off goodison heard?...or the Barkley thread on how his man lost him like a toddler in the supermarket? ...or the McCarthy thread about him leaving the near post unguarded?

No their not are they! yet again the sole responsibility gets placed on Howard and everything else gets ignored. That's what you clearly don't understand, the need for a scapegoat.

in the match thread i mentioned most of the above for the goal.

just to check here, you're not tim howard yourself? seem to be getting very upset about it all.

Not arsed either way, I know what I saw Jack it's a bit like the Osman witchhunt that goes on on here is all I see.

It happens because we all know Howard really shouldn't be in between our sticks at the moment hence any mistake he makes is magnified and the usual cries for Robles are made. No matter how average you think Joel may be the fact that he was dropped for no reason at all and then told that Howard is number one at all times was incredibly harsh on the lad.

It's not Howards fault he was put straight back in obviously but he's certainly not helping the situation by threatening to make a mistake at every opportunity. When the lads in front of you don't trust him and there is no clean sheet in 6-7 games (Sunday is a big chance) then the fans reactions and scapegoating are the least of our worries.
